Activity itinerary

Molly's Cupcakes

  • 5m
Meeting point and ending point. We finish up at this award-winning cupcake place. It’s too-cool-for-school with desks, retro lunch boxes and even swings. Oh and cupcakes to die for.

Bleecker Street (Pass by)

Bleecker has been the Village's food street since the families who opened these shops got here, and enough of them are still open to prove it.

Faicco’s Italian Specialties

  • 10m
Faicco's has so many items that will make your mouth water. We sample their arancini (rice ball) and sopressata (salami) and I promise you, these bite sized delights pack a culinary punch that last long after the tour.

Cornelia Street (Pass by)

One short block that Taylor Swift rented on and later wrote a song about. It was a restaurant row long before that, and a few of them are still hanging on.

Taco Mahal

  • 15m
Since opening in 2016 in the West Village, Taco Mahal has built a cult following for its bold fusion of Indian and Mexican flavours. Founded by Danikkah Josan, the concept blends her Indian roots and Latina heritage into something totally unique. This place is the real deal with tacos served on fresh naan or roti, packed with rich curries, vibrant spices, and flavour you won’t find anywhere else in NYC.

Bleecker Street Pizza

  • 20m
We will try the world famous and food network favourite nonna Maria pizza. Also, beer and wine available for purchase

75 1/2 Bedford Street (Pass by)

Nine and a half feet wide, the narrowest house in New York. Edna St. Vincent Millay lived in it. You'll want a photo and you'll get about four feet to take it from.

Cherry Lane Theatre (Pass by)

Off-Broadway started here. Founded in 1924 on a street most people never find, and still running, which in this city counts as a miracle.

Grove Court (Pass by)

Six brick houses around a private courtyard, built in the 1850s and completely hidden unless you know to look through the gate. Most people walk past it every day.

Friends Building (Pass by)

You've seen this corner about two hundred times. The apartment inside was never as big as the one on screen, and the restaurant on the ground floor is one of the neighborhood's harder tables to get.

17 Grove St (Pass by)

The oldest wooden house left in the Village. Fire codes ended construction like this in Manhattan, which is why there's essentially one of these and this is it.

The Stonewall Inn (Pass by)

The Stonewall Inn is such a huge historical site - literally and figuratively. We pass by the prideful institution as well as its new statue which was installed to commemorate it’s 50th anniversary.

Hangman's Elm (Pass by)

The oldest living thing in Manhattan, somewhere around three and a half centuries. The name comes from a storey historians can't confirm and locals refuse to give up.

Washington Square Arch

  • 5m
Stanford White's marble arch, built to mark a century since Washington's inauguration. The most photographed thing in the area and almost nobody knows what it's for.

Washington Square Park

  • 15m
Washington Square Park is legendary. You’ve seen it in a tonne of films, it’s the unofficial campus of NYU students and you’ll see some of the coolest people in the city here. Feed pigeons. Hear musicians and watch street performers. You never know what to expect. Oh except for the mighty arch which is, of course, renowned.

Mamoun's Falafel

  • 15m
The best falafel you’ll ever have in Manhattan or perhaps anywhere. It’s no surprise they’ve been around since 1971 - the longest Middle Eastern spot in all of New York.

Pommes Frites

  • 30m
Pommes Frites has the best fries in the city or probably anywhere. Authentic Belgian fries that are double cooked and topped with extraordinary sauces - choose from over 30! Also - beer on tap and wine selection are available for purchase and YES we will be there long enough to finish it.

MacDougal Street (Pass by)

The block that launched more careers than any other in New York. Comedy clubs, coffee houses, and the doorways where a lot of famous people got told no before they got told yes.

Cafe Wha? (Pass by)

Bob Dylan's first night in New York was on this stage. Hendrix played here too. The room is still open, still small, and still doing the same thing.

Comedy Cellar (Pass by)

The Comedy Cellar is New York City's legendary stand-up comedy club, presenting live comedy seven nights a week in the heart of Greenwich Village.

Father Demo Square (Pass by)

A small triangle of park named for the priest who spent decades looking after the Italian families who built this area. The church he ran is still across the street.
