What you can expect

  • Discover the best of Funchal with a perfect mix of modern fun and classic Madeiran tradition.

Your adventure begins with a scenic private tuk tuk ride through the charming, winding streets of Funchal, heading straight up to the historic village of Monte.

Along the way, enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the city and the Atlantic Ocean. Once in Monte, you will reach the starting point of the world-famous wicker toboggan sledges. Hop into a traditional basket sleigh and let the skilled Carreiros guide you on an exhilarating, fast-paced slide down the steep hills.

No need to worry about walking back up or finding a taxi at the end of the slide! Your private tuk-tuk driver will be waiting for you exactly where the toboggan ride finishes. Sit back, relax, and enjoy a comfortable ride back to the heart of Funchal.
