Immerse yourself in the rural lifestyle as you participate in the rice cultivation process at the Living Land Farm. Interact with local farmers and learn how rice goes from farm to table before enjoying a fresh treat. Then, take a scenic trip down the Mekong River on your way to Kuang Si Falls.

Your full-day tour begins with convenient hotel pickup followed by a short drive to the Living Land Farm. This agricultural centre is the perfect place to learn about and participate in the 14 steps of the rice cycle, including ploughing, planting, harvesting, threshing, winnowing, and eating. Get behind a buffalo and plough the muddy ground before you bend down to plant. Work up an appetite as you toss the rice in the air, winnowing it down to just the edible parts.

In addition to your cultivation experience, you can discover all sorts of traditional artisanal practices, such as bamboo weaving, trap making, gardening, and even blacksmithing. Before you leave, be sure to try a special rice snack prepared specially for your group.

After the farm, embark on a boat trip down the Mekong River. Take in the beautiful, rustic scenery as you feel the cool, fresh air blowing through your hair. Stop at the majestic Kuang Si Falls to see the clear water tumble down a 200-foot (61-m) cascade into the natural pools below. Enjoy lunch at the waterfall before you head back to the city and stop at a fascinating Hmong cultural museum.
