Join us to discover the timeless charm of Fes, Morocco’s oldest Imperial City. After a warm welcome and short introduction from your guide, set off on a journey through narrow alleys, bustling souks, and historic landmarks that embody the essence of this remarkable city.

Our journey begins at Bab Boujloud, the iconic Blue Gate to the UNESCO-listed Medina—a maze of winding alleys and centuries-old traditions. As you explore this living medieval city, your guide will bring 1,200 years of history to life with stories of sultans, scholars, and artisans who shaped Fes.

Visit the Bou Inania Madrasa, a 14th-century Marinid masterpiece with carved cedarwood, intricate zellige tilework, and a serene marble courtyard. One of the few madrasas that also served as a mosque, it remains a symbol of Fes’ spiritual and scholarly heritage.

Next, admire the Mosque and University of Al-Karaouine (exterior visit), one of the world’s oldest universities, and a lasting testament to the city’s intellectual and spiritual legacy.

Continue to the Dar Batha Museum of Islamic Arts, a former royal palace showcasing exquisite Moroccan craftsmanship, from carved wood and ceramics to fine embroidery.

At the Chouara Tannery, watch artisans hand-dye leather in colourful pits using natural dyes like saffron and indigo—a tradition unchanged since the 11th century. From a panoramic terrace, see this centuries-old craft in action.

Explore two of the Medina's most iconic souks: Souk Sabaghine, famed for handwoven textiles, and Souk El Attarine, filled with spices, perfumes, and herbal remedies. Nearby, hear the rhythmic hammering of coppersmiths at Hammam Seffarine, where metalworking traditions endure.

Finish with a visit to a pottery and zellige tile workshop, where artisans mould clay, hand-paint ceramics, and cut delicate tiles into intricate mosaic designs—crafts that decorate palaces, fountains, and mosques across Morocco.

As our tour concludes, you’ll leave with a deeper appreciation for Fes—a city where history, craftsmanship, and culture are alive in every street, every souk, and every detail.
