Overview

  • This hike involves a stage itinerary to let you know and appreciate places of particular natural value within the Etna Park reserve up to an altitude of about 2000 metres. Thanks to the experience of our staff, on board 4x4 vehicles you will have an interesting and fun experience. Starting from the lava flows that threatened entire countries, the extinct craters and the viewpoint of the majestic Valle del Bove will be visited. You will visit a lava tube equipped with a helmet and speleology lights. The tour will conclude with a tasting of Sicilian specialities.

The tour winds through the visit of different attractions (at least 4): the ancient and recent lava flows; the Valle del Bove; the visit of a volcanic cave with lights and helmets; walk on the side craters at about 2000 metres.

Valle Del Bove

Panoramic stop in the spectacular Valle del Bove, a natural amphitheatre created by the collapse of the ancient eruptive centers of Etna. This stage may not be carried out starting from Taormina. Alternatively, you can reach the ski resort of Piano Provenzana destroyed by the 2002 eruption.

Visit this or a similar cave with lights and speleologist helmet to understand the fascinating phenomenon of the formation of lava tubes. The guides will assist you in this fascinating natural place to descend into the meanders of the volcano.
