What you can expect

  • The Royal Palace of Caserta ( Royal Palace tickets not included ), located in the heart of Caserta, was commissioned by King Charles of Bourbon with the ambitious aim of creating a royal residence capable of rivalling the great European courts. Designed by architect Luigi Vanvitelli, it is one of Italy’s most extraordinary examples of Baroque and Neoclassical architecture and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.

Inside, admire the magnificent Royal Apartments, where every room tells the storey of the splendour and daily life of the Bourbon court. The tour includes a detailed visit to the royal reception rooms and private apartments, featuring historic furnishings, decorations, chandeliers, paintings, and valuable sculptures.

Walk through the many rooms of the Royal Palace of Caserta, adorned with precious gilded stuccoes, frescoes, paintings, and refined decorative details that showcase the skill of Italian and foreign artists and craftsmen. Among the most fascinating spaces are the Throne Room, the rooms used for official meetings, and the private apartments of the royal family.

The visit continues through the 18th-century Apartments, decorated with luxurious silks, exquisite porcelain, original clocks, and precious period furnishings. Here, you can also discover more intimate aspects of the lives of Ferdinand IV of Bourbon and Maria Carolina, imagining their daily routines away from official ceremonies.

This experience allows you to immerse yourself in the history of the Bourbon dynasty and discover how the royal court lived inside one of Europe’s most impressive royal residences, surrounded by monumental rooms, artistic details, and fascinating traces of the sovereigns’ private lives.
