What you can expect

    During this unusual exploration of the “belly of Lyon,” your guide-actress (not in costume) will take you on a true journey through the culinary history of Lyon.

    You will meet Mère Brazier and the Italians of the Renaissance, who will tell you about their contribution to Lyonnaise gastronomy. The “mâchons” (Lyon-style brunch) of the time of the Canuts (silk weavers), tripe and macarons will no longer have any secrets from you!

    This stroll through the Halles alternates between short theatrical interludes to learn about the history of gastronomy and sweet and savoury food tastings: Lyonnais cold cuts accompanied by a glass of wine, local cheeses, quenelles, the unmissable praline tart, as well as macaroons and the famous Lyonnais cushions.
