Exploring an ancient kingdom to the home of a king is a great escape to the unique country of Cambodia. We will start a visit to the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda which remains home to the Royal family is part of your time in this bustling city as well as the inspirational Wat Phnom temple complex. Contrasting this is a visit to the Genocide Museum which reflects on the brutal Khmer Rouge period.

Day 1: Phnom Penh Arrival – City Tour (L/D)

Welcome to Phnom Penh – the city retains its traditional Khmer

Upon arrival, pick up and transfer to have lunch and check in hotel.

Afternoon, visit the Khmer-style Royal Palace complex and Silver pagoda (the emerald Buddha temple). Then stop at Independence monument; the National museum and Phnom Daun Penh. Dinner and overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 2: Phnom Penh – City Tour (B/L/D)

Morning visit Choeung Ek museum and Tuol Sleng prison now is Genocide Museum, the most secret part of the Khmer Rouge regime. Afternoon, take a cruise to see the sunset on the Mekong and Tonle Sap River in the “Four Arms” section where the Mekong meets the Tonle Sap River before splitting into two branches. Dinner and overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 3: Phnom Penh – Free the Bears + Mini Angkor (B/L/D)

Morning transfer to Silk Island and take the cruise along the Phnom Penh riverfront (around 01 hour) After docking on the island, visit the temples, silk plantations and villages.

Afternoon, free time for shopping at the Central Market, a large market constructed in 1937 in the shape of a dome with four arms branching out into vast hallways with countless stalls of goods. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 4: Phnom Penh – Silk Island & Shopping (B/L/D)

Morning transfer to visit Silk Island tour and take a cruise along the Phnom Penh riverfront, see floating villages and fishing families living on their boats. After docking on the island, visit the temples, silk plantations and villages, then learn about the island’s silk production as you tour a silk farm.

Afternoon, proceed for shopping at the Central Market and Russian market; enjoy the bustling daily activities of the locals. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 5: Phnom Penh – Departure (B)

Free at leisure until pick up and transfer to airport for flight departure.
