Amboseli National Park
Located in southern Kenya against the Tanzanian border; a compact park covering 392 square kilometres.
Dominated by the massive backdrop of Africa's highest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro, on clear days. Features permanent swamps like Enkongo Narok and Observation Hill.
Famous for large, free-ranging herds of large elephants, alongside lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, and over 600 bird species.

Tsavo West National Park
Separated from Tsavo East by the road and railway line; covering a rugged 9,000 square kilometres
Features a wet, mountainous, and volcanic terrain with the Shetani lava flows, Lake Jipe, and the crystal-clear Mzima Springs with its underwater viewing chamber
Home to a protected black rhino sanctuary, leopards, lions, and red-dusted elephants, though thicker bush vegetation makes game viewing more patient work than in Amboseli or Tsavo East
