They upgraded the shower this year, it's awesome! The place is clean. The only concern is the tempature, I can either set it to 21c or 26c, but I like in between!

Very convenient to Central Station and buses. Nice size room and bathroom. Nice offer för free drink if opted out of room service for the day. Enjoyed the hotel and would return. In fact, I extended an extra night with front desk staff, Sevinc, who helped me not only get the best rate possible, but keep me in the same room!

Another Overnight stop while travelling by Train
Excellent hotel and value for money for what I paid. Located right across from the Hauptbahnhof but no noise or other disturbance. Room was very big, comfortable bed, all I needed and, best of all after seven weeks of inter rail, a nice big bath. Similarly, as mentioned to the helpful, friendly receptionist, this was the best breakfast of my travels. Didn't have much time to explore but the hotel is also close to the shopping and restaurant area. I had the misfortunate to be served a snack in an imbiss by a rude ignoramus but that's possible anywhere! Will stay here again if travels justify it!

Issue resolved
It was a lovely hotel & room. However, I did not have heating in my room which was a problem- thankfully the hotel provided a space heater for me so I wouldn't freeze.

Quiet, very clean room, very central to the train station which made it easy if you were attending events at Messe Essen. Good places to eat in the surrounding neighbourhood

For a 3 stars hotel, it is excellent accommodation however, I am used to finding iron, ironing board, and a phone to communicate with the front desk which were not available in this hotel. If you need something, you have to walk to the front desk to ask for it

The HVAC was not working, during the day is hot and at night is cold. I was given a fan and a heater which is acceptable. Overall this is a great place to be! I'll still come back :)

Great room poor service
Room itself and furnishings were very good, best firmer pillows and bed in Germany. However service is 2 star, no phones available in the room to contact reception, some of the staff gave unprovoked looks of disgust and were very rude. Convenient for station but sadly noisy at night.

Great Stay at this hotel
The hotel is located right across the street from the train station. The room was enormous. Two walls had windows with views of the city. However, the AC in the hotel was not working at the time of my stay. I got a fan from the front desk, opened the windows and the comfort of the room was just fine. The shower had hot water and good water pressure. There is an excellent bar in the lobby. No complaints with my stay at this hotel.

This is a hotel that knows the meaning of customer service. Spotlessly clean, modern, spacious, comfortable rooms, and directly across from the main train station and at the entrance to Essen's old city. But the best part about this hotel is the staff, who consistently went out of their way to accomodate guests, incuding us. When we were there, we, and most of the guests were in town for the Rollings Stones concert in nearby Gelsenkirchen. The hotel kept the bar open until 0500 to accomodate returning concert goers, gave everyone a blanket late checkout the next day, and extended breakfast service. Amazing bartender too -- never lost his cool as post-concert groups just kept coming in. The whole focus was on ensuring everyone was able to continue to enjoy for as long as possible.

Located at the entrance the the Essen Hbf, you cannot get any more convenient that this hotel. It is cosy and comfortably and more than adequate for a short stay. The breakfast, served in a bright and sunny breakfast room, is great (the scrambled eggs were great). The rooms are cosy and quiet, I would certainly book this again when in Essen. Oh, and the whiskey bar has some great gems on the menu.
