Clean and good looking hotel, good breakfast. Slow check in and bar, seems understaffed at night. Plus for rewarding customers for eco friendlyness when not wanting to change towels and clean rooms every day, but a minus for staff taking a large stack of napkins for wiping water off the floor, instead of a rag.

Modern Hotel in Essen
Modern hotel in Essen, comfortable bed and bathroom, breakfast quite good, central area in Essen. a few negative points: no gym, no desk or chair to work on in the room, only one person at reception so some queues at times for check-in and -out, no fridge or minibar in room, no housekeeping for first three days. generally nice though.

Hotel was clean and good service, very nice breakfast and hotel staff. However, were missing some "small" very imporants services such as room ameniries: shampo, conditioner, soap, ceram, all the little things that are super important and changes the whole experience. Also - must have coffee/tea making in the room. there wasnt any which was downgrading.

Very nice hotel with super friendly staff in general. Breakfast is really good, but also has an extra charge of 15 EUR. Lobby area very clean and nicely decorated. Open space. Great place to chill and have a beer. Rooms a bit tiny, storage spsce in the corner has no extra light. Thus, it's hard too see anything in the evening. No desk in rooms. Overall, would definitely stay here again.

Having escaped from Ukraine and using this hotel as 2nd part of the journey we were refused entry without a Covid test. After a 9 hour drive we spent a further 4 hours driving around Essen trying to get a test. Staff were helpful and offered us free parking and breakfast to make up for our stressful time, there is limited parking at a cost of 14€ and breakfast is a further 12.5€ so worth noting an extra 39€ on the room price for a couple. No water or even glasses in the room and not pet friendly as described in hotel.com

The reception and lounge area were spacious and comfortable. The rooms were a bit small but manageable. Not enough lights in the room so was a bit dark. The staff was excellent and so very helpful and always with a smile and friendly. Breakfast was nice and plentiful. The kitchen was closed during lunch so it made it a little difficult to work from there in the afternoon. Overall nice place, clean and again a great staff.

The staff were rude and unprofessional. At 2am one of their staff came into the room using the key they had and as soon as they heard us they left. They were smoking outside the bedroom and talking out loud until 1am.

Nice and trendy but description not correct
The lobby and the hotel it self was really cool and trendy. It was pretty clean, only when we took the tv away from the wall ( you can move it around) when I saw it hasn’t been cleaned there for a while, The reason I give it less stars is because in here they always say the beds are one large bed, and I specially look for that when I order a room, but when we came we got a room with two single beds put together, I went to the lobby, we had a lot of luggage and were tired after a long drive, and the guy in the lobby was not that welcoming but okay with changing the room… BUT he sent me to 4 different rooms and all had the same… 2 single beds, in the end he got us an “upgrade” (only thing was the room was a tiny bit bigger and on the top floor) and was kinda like “well I should be charging you though”… but AGAIN two single beds. We couldn’t be bothered doing a room change for the fifth time so we just stayed there. The day after we asked if we could get one hour later checkout to take a shower and pack our bags, and he was kinda rude to my boyfriend and gonna charge us for that 20€… I explained that I was unhappy with the check in and all that, at the same time the manager was passing by and was very helpful and he let us have that extra hour so we were happy with the staff at that point

Eigentlich schönes Hotel, leider etwas muffiger Geruch in den Zimmern. Dusche ist undicht und das Wasser läuft in das gesamte Badezimmer. Betten sind klein und man spürt jede Bewegung des anderen. Frühstück war okay. Parkplatz Situation ist schrecklich, wir mussten immer in den Seitenstraßen einen Parkplatz suchen. Leider gab es auch keine Be- und Entladezone vor dem Hoteleingang, obwohl der Platz da wäre. Der Bar Bereich ist aber ganz cool und der Kukki Cocktail Toaster ist auch spitze!

Positiv: Die schöne Innenarchitektur und die Auswahl beim Frühstück, die interessant zusammengestellt ist. Die Selbstzapf-Kaffeemaschine ist nur Durchschnitt. (Meine Frau ist Coffee-Master und meinte nur...) Das Empfangspersonal sehr freundlich und unkompliziert. Eine lockere Location für eine Übernachtung. Weniger gut: Die Parkplatzsituation ist unzumutbar. Viel zu wenige (kostenpflichtige) Plätze für die mögliche Zahl der Gäste. Seitenstraßen sind die einzige Möglichkeit. Weites Laufen. Während die Innenarchitektur des Badezimmers cool ist, ist die industrielle Aufmachung des Zimmers nicht jedermanns Sache, weil ein Sitzsack und eine Holzkiste mit einem Brett als Schreibtisch für Reisende mit PC-Aktivitäten sehr spartanisch ist. Schwarzer Look meinetwegen, man sah den Staub schnell. Allergiker aufgepasst. Ich bewerte diese Location deshalb mit 3 Sternen. Das Frühstück ist top, auch abends zum gemütlichen Chillen sehr schön.

Das Frühstück war etwas lieblos, Käse hat sich gebogen, Eier waren nicht warm. Das Internet war ausgefallen, sodass der Fahrstuhl mit unserer Zimmerkarte nicht funktionierte. Wir mussen aufs Zimmer gebracht werden. Der Fehnseher funktionierte nicht.
