This apartment is located in a prime location, just two blocks from Grand Place, and around the corner from Manneken Pis. Plus, it is just about two blocks from the Police station. So, it felt very safe. There were plenty of shops and restaurants within an easy walking distance, and even a grocery store approximately 7 minutes away by foot. The train station is an easy 10-minute walk. There are two passcode controlled locked gates/doors between the street and the apartment door, which, again, helps to promote a sense of security.
The apartment was attractive and very clean, aside from needing a good mopping, and the beds were comfortable. The toilet is in a separate room from the shower, which was very nice. The shower is large and has good water pressure, and the kitchen was plenty large for a short stay. Really, the facilities were comfortable. The wifi was great, until it went out for the last two days of the trip. This made it pretty hard to check in with the airline and manage work responsibilities while away.
However, there are some notable cautions. First, they only provide one towel per person per week. Perhaps this is an American thing, but that simply is not sufficient and feels pretty unsanitary. Second, the elevator is unpredictable and very small. If you are accustomed to European elevators, it's manageable, but not if you have a physically limited person with you who cannot climb stairs. Third, it is NOT an easy walk from the lounge if you have luggage.
