Good location, parking. Very nice and helpful desk staff. Only negative was no instructions on how the TV was operated....not a simple on/off, two separate remotes required, had to get up from bed to turn it off etc.

Hector, at the desk, provided outstanding service. He couldn’t have been more helpful. Five stars for him. Three of our four reserved rooms were standard and fine. The fourth, Room #1, where my 88 year old mom stayed, had no coffeemaker, no glasses or cups, and no grab bar in the shower. She could only get 1 channel on the tv. She had no cell phone to be able to call for assistance and has trouble walking, so she just toughed it out. When I found out in the morning, I was told that her room was not originally designed to be a room and didn’t have enough outlets for the coffee machine. So…don’t stay in Room #1. Beds are comfortable.

Bed was comfortable but only 3 pillows on a King. Paid for a Kitchenette but no pot/pans to cook anything and dishes had to be washed in the bathroom sink/tub as there was no sink anywhere else. In the morning when we realized we couldn't even cook an egg front desk wasn't open yet so couldn't even call for a fry pan. Room clean but updates obviously done by a rookie. Not on my list to revisit.

oceanview is not ocean view. it is the view of the sechelt marsh. and there were ppl walking by so felt no privacy.They didnt have extra towels so felt service wasnt great.

Loved that it was in porpoise bay and by the Lighthouse pub. Hated that the room was directly under the stairs to the upper suites. So noisy. Not much sleep on the comfy bed.

Very friendly and helpful. Very clean, beds were very comfortable and clean. Nice quiet area. We had a late arrival and the proprietor was holding the door open for us as we exited our vehicle. I would recommend this place.

It was a good, clean room. Beds were super comfortable. We booked the last available room, so we viewed the parking lot. But we were only there for 1 night. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Good pub right next door. The rooms are nicely decorated but fairly small, fyi. No closet other than a rack on the wall and no small table and chairs. There may be bigger rooms that had extra space as we were in most likely the last room rented for that night. But it was definitely great little place for an overnight. The staff go out of their way with their pleasant demeanor!! A

Really lovely little hotel but man does their staff need some lessons in customer service. We arrived and at check-in I asked for a late checkout the next day, around 2pm if they could accommodate it. The person working the counter said he’d have to ask the manager and get back to me. (First red flag - why doesn’t your front end staff have the capability to say yes or no to that?) Anyways. I get a text message shortly after that my request has been approved and we can check out at 2pm the next day. 10am - there is a quiet knock on the door, we are sleeping so don’t really hear it. They knock again so we say one minute - as we are saying this, the person proceeds to OPEN the door! So we say excuse me?!, while we are trying to get ready. My partner goes outside and the guy says “I was checking if the room was clear”. What!? It’s 10am and we have a 2pm check out time. We get ready, go downstairs to clear the situation up. I’m assuming this is the guy that knocked cause he’s like “well it’s an extra $40 for late check out and it hasn’t been paid so I was seeing if you guys were still sleeping. I was going to give you until 11:30”. This makes NO sense. We were NOT informed of a $40 charge, and you entered our room while we were in there (with the do not disturb tag displayed) to see if we were still sleeping!? How creepy and awkward. You have my phone number on file, why not call? You could have knocked then left a note.

I was originally given room 10 (ground floor at the end) unfortunately it is beside the stairwell to the upper floor and I could hear folks going up/down the stairs, despite earplugs, until well after midnight . . and then starting again at about 6 AM, which did not make for a peaceful nights sleep. The next morning I spoke to the front desk clerk, who very kindly moved me to a room upstairs for my next two nights. I certainly appreciated their willingness to make the change to ensure I could sleep peacefully. Thank you again for your great customer service. I highly recommend "The Spot" (provided you avoid the ground floor end rooms). PS: The Lighthouse pub /restaurant, right next door, is a good spot for a meal and to enjoy the beautiful view over Porpoise Bay

Small Motel in good condition , beautiful location
Rooms are clean an pleasant bed was excellent good central location. I was working nights and tying to sleep during the day and had no issues with excessive traffic noise. The gentleman at the desk was very nice so really what more could you ask for aside from some relief from the massive industry wide price increases.
