Hotel is fine for the price. Only issue we had was the staff. We arrived late and ordered food to be delivered and requested a plate and knife and fork and apparently this is impossible. A hotel which serves breakfast which can’t provide some cutlery is just ridiculous.

Terrible service. They pick and choose who to check in first. Our room was across from main hotel. Very tiny hallway with smell of mold and moisture. Shower stall is extremely small. I would not recommend this hotel.

The hotel in general is not bad, the location is very convenient indeed. The room is clean and has everything needed. Expect to carry your luggage up in a few steps before reaching the elevator.

Close to the tube station that could get you anywhere in the city. Staff was friendly. The rooms were small but were just for sleeping so it was not a big deal. It was walkable to many restaurants. Felt very safe.

Stayed in Room B01, You need to clean under the Bed, its horrendous...the Room was Tiny, no way that is a Deluxe Room, and the Bed is so uncomfortable, and all we could here where Doors Banging in the Basement, as you where in and out of Cupboards...The Breakfast, looked like it had been there Hours, hence we went for Toast, but your Bread was still Frozen....ask reception for extra Milk on Saturday night, they never had any...overall not good, and would not stay again..

The location near Paddington and restaurants was great. The staff was also excellent. Unfortunately the room in the annex of this was hotel was inferior to lodging in the main building. We found many things did not work properly. Could not get hot water in the shower on occasion.

Upon arrival we were told that there were no rooms available due to damage resulting from rain. The hotel had made arrangements for us at another hotel and would provide transportation. After approximately forty-five minutes the promised transport had not arrived. I had asked the hotel staff several times what the status was on our transport and was told it was just down the street. I had also overheard other potential guests told their rooms were not available but for various reasons. We had never received any correspondence from the hotel or Expedia as to the situation at the hotel. Front desk staff were totally lost.

VERY disappointed. Check in staff lady was slow, not competent & should not be in customer service. She lied to my colleague traveling with saying his room was not in the basement when in fact it was. I was handed 2 blank key cards that were scratched & filthy dirty. Disgusting. If you happen to stay in the same closet I did (room 139) it will take you at least 15 min going up & down small stairways to realize there is NOT one sign leading you to this room. Signage in each hall ranges from 105-108, 105-121, 122-128, 129-138, 142-145. I had to walk all the way back & be escorted & he acted like this happens all the time. The room was extremely small with a single bed. Bed was fine. Very low quality everything here. Shower was a nightmare. You can't turn water on without getting it everywhere all over the floor. I weigh 120 pounds & if you were much bigger you wouldn't fit. Sink wouldn't drain after brushing my teeth & stayed fulll for hours. Shampoo in shower but no conditioner. Each time I went into lobby I overheard people complaining. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

The hotel is an old building. It's mostly kept in good condition. It took me a while to find my room because the property is a maze of stairs and doors, and the signage is not good for getting to where you need to go. I even asked a staff member and she could not explain how to get to my room. I found it after wandering for a bit. The room was so small it was hard to get my suitcase in! Good enough for one night but I wouldn't want to stay there longer than that.

We were situated across the street from the main hotel and it could do with an update. The room and bed above us was noisy. The overhead shower was clogged with limes ale but was fine once I cleaned it. It took a good 5 minutes for the hot water to come through and get to temperature. some of the bath towels we had could do with being replaced. The kettle was nice and clean without limes cake build up

I was staying in a single room for one night. I was pleased with the standard, cleanliness and comfort. There were 3 things that could have been improved: The emergency light that was over the room door stayed on all night. As it was such a small room this meant the small green glow from it stopped the room being completely dark. The shower controls could only be turned on and regulated when you were stood inside the shower. That meant you got cold before the shower got up to temperature. The bar closed early. I couldn't get served at 10pm on a Saturday night.

Great area as it is close to transportation hubs and walkable to them. Very close to Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens which was fantastic! It was literally just a 3 minute walk from them. All sorts of restaurants close by too. The only down point was that the room was very small. Breakfast was good.

The best thing was the staff - always friendly, helpful and very competent. They sorted out my muddled and difficult Expedia experience with ease and a sense of humour and always seemed pleased to see me when I came and went. Room ok but a bit cramped. Had a few issues with the shower - bed making was difficult because the heavy bed was against the wall and not always successful. The very very jazzy carpet in the corridors and stairs not very friendly to one with ageing sight problems. But a good stay, and I would go again with pleasure.

Staff are hit and miss. One lady very helpful trying to sort out the charging ports, yet another couldn’t provide a name of a good local pub - tells me “we have a resturant.” No, no you don’t, it’s a delivery service FROM a resturant … nothing is made fresh onsite. No proper directions … Didn’t know you had to put the card into the holder to make the lights go on - which is a complete nuisance as you have to go to stumble around in a very, very small space to turn the lights on/off. There are no lights for light bedtime reading, unless you get up, out of bed, and remove the card. Room is freezing cold. I had the thermostat set at 25 and slept with a sweater on… yet the lobby is 30 it’s so hot and sweaty. My room was on the first floor, yet I had to walk up a flight and down several flights of stairs … it was also IN the stairwell! I understand maximizing space, but for a solo female traveller it was off putting. I did feel very safe in the neighbourhood - there a quite a few local public that are within 5-15 minute walk and coming back late was never an issue. It’s an affordable option in London, would I stay again? No, I’d look for another option, but within the same area as it’s very convenient and I much prefer the quiet.

The rooms are so small, two people can barely walk around. It’s congested and feels very claustrophobic. While the area is nice and walkable, I won’t recommend staying here as the rooms are very small and tight.
