Our spring break trip got canceled on this site so they gave us this hotel. Amazing for my family of 5 it was like we had our own apartment. Very quiet and luxurious Thanks Colton house it’s started off ruff but coming here made it all worth it!

Really a lovely boutique with plenty of space in studio room and around the hotel. One note-the property is close to the shopping and restaurant area on South Congress, but not walkable. Would recommend with that caveat.

I loved the contemporary decor. We stayed in the presidential suit. The beds were amazing. Clean, comfortable and beautiful. The trees were beautiful from the 3rd floor but not much of a view. I wasn't crazy about the restaurant. When I went it was crowded, expensive and not much selection. Loved the staff at the front desk. They treated us like royalty! All in all an excellent hotel.

Staff was excellent and worked with us to make our stay more enjoyable. Chastity at the front desk when out of her way to help us switch rooms due to our son's mobility issues. It was much appreciated! The hotel has a great vibe and the sitting areas and coffee shop are beautiful. Nice location to access everything in Austin without being right in the middle of a bunch of craziness.

Beautiful and VERY spacious property. The rooms were well equipped with everything we needed. The staff was helpful and accommodating. The access to the parlor, library and Simona made the trip ever more enjoyable. I enjoyed Simona and their poolside service.

I really wanted to like this place. It had quirky decor and a unique vibe. But as a business traveler arriving at 8:00pm, I was disappointed that the Taco Truck,(aka the totality of their dining options) wasn't operating due to mechanical trouble. After 8 hours of work the next day, I checked with the front desk at 5:00pm to confirm that said Taco Truck was in operation. The answer was YES! But at 6:30 I learned that the Taco Truck stopped serving at 5:00! The bartender took pity and gave me a complimentary drink but...

Nice property , but window view lacking
The hotel space is in very nice. We had everything we needed in our room. Strange view out the window, though. Front desk staff offered to switch my room but said “view probably won’t get any better.”

Our stay at The Colton House was great! It is very walkable to all the shopping and restaurants on Soco! The coffee/wine bar on sight had live music. Everyone was very friendly. The rooms were spacious, clean and beautiful. We will definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed the 2 bedroom 2 bathroom layout. We had a family member visit and they just stayed in the extra room with their own privacy. Also, Phoebe’s Cafe was right around the corner.😋

Highly Recommend!
We LOVED our stay here. We came for a romantic occasion and the staff went above and beyond to make it special for us. The place is beautifully decorated and everything was very clean. The location is close enough to quickly drive or Uber to all the main attractions without the chaos of being in the middle of it. Overall, we would (and will) definitely stay again!

Colton House hotel is very beautiful, family friendly with nice set of toys for kids in the lobby, in comfortable for our family location! Nice decoration, well structured. We had nice and specious room with everything what you need to feel like home. BUT the floor in the room was unexpectedly duty even though it was washed before we came into the room….the rest was nicely cleaned! And the restaurant has very poor food choices on our taste. I hope management will reconsider flooring cleaning supplies with less chemicals and more results.

The property is unique, quaint, and lovely. I will definitely stay here again. Unfortunately, I had a few issues. Most importantly is that Expedia does not tell you that must pay for your entire stay upon arrival. On top of the incidental fee. When I arrived in the middle of the night, the front desk manager said it was on the website. It is nowhere on the website. We spent time searching. Even so, it should definitely be on the receipt I received from Expedia and on my confirmation receipt from the hotel and it is on neither. I also paid for and reserved a room with a balcony. When I got there, I did not get a room with a balcony or even a view-I overlooked an industrial yard & the work there began at 4:30am. Hence the four instead of five stars.

I enjoyed the kitchenette with dishes and small appliances to use. I also appreciated the hotel’s use of water softener. Even the shower handle was conveniently located within the shower. Downfalls were the cafe hours (Simonas I think). I would have preferred for the cafe to open sooner than 8am. I wish we had more time to explore amenities. The dog area is small. Furniture and ambience is really good. The artwork is a nice touch as well.

Just a nice property. Staff was nice and bar staff was excellent. Parking garage accomodates large trucks turning in with a hieght of 8' but the turn getting out is too tight had to back out into a handcap spot so that i could get straight to get out other than that it was a great stay.
