They cancelled on us less than 24 hours before our arrival because they “forgot” to tell us they are under construction. We are a family of 6 and they left us completely starting from scratch without any resources or help. Because they cancelled their entire reservations the day before, we were only able to find one room at one hotel in the entire city that was literally twice the cost on a last minute reservation. The Rodeway in staff member was rude and sarcastic, they never returned my call when I asked to speak to a manager. This was the WORST experience I have ever had with a hotel, and I have travelled a lot.

Reserved 3 months prior to stay date. Hotel called us on the reserved date while we were driving to that area to tell us there was no room as they were renovating and forgot to call us. We had to scramble for a room, paid twice the price for another place. Unable to reach hotel to discuss; manager never called us. No access to owners.

When we arrived at the hotel at 11:00 we where told that they would have a room ready by 4. when we came back at around 5 we where told the hotel was under full renovation and we weren’t able to stay there.

We were told that the rooms we booked in March were not available. They were remodeling some rooms and the person who was supposed to call us to cancel our rooms did not call any of the people affected. When we drove in the police were there calming down other people that were told the same thing as us. Your rooms have been cancelled. “You’re out of luck”. We ended up finding one room in Steven’s Point. One room $650 for 2 nights. We had to share the room with another couple who was supposed to be in the 2nd room. Roadway Inn. Of Steven’s Point is not a place I would ever stay in the future. I will share this story with everyone I can in the future. The woman at the front desk was rude and uncaring. Expedia worked for hours trying to help us. I am very thankful and proud to be a member. Thank you Expedia…. Shame on you Roadway Inn

This was the worst stay I have ever had at a hotel. The majority of the staff, particularly the woman who appeared in charge, were un organized and did not know what they were doing. Most of the time that we saw them they were loitering in the lobby or out smoking weed in their car which was parked in the drop off area for two days. Though they are under construction, the hallways, elevator, and rooms were not cleaned. We were initially put in a room that did have the beds made, the water to the toilet was shut off, and the door did not even latch led alone lock. We were moved to another room that was a little cleaner but again the lock did not work properly. Things such as continental breakfast, coffee, and the pool were absent or closed. If I had read the reviews on google I would have known that whomever is in charge does not and has not cared to fix any of these issues for some time.

Tub was filthy. Bathroom baseboards missing. Valence on window covered in dust. Stain on sheets. Light sheets only on beds, no blankets. Carpet not vacuumed, trash in dresser drawer. Towels only for 1 person, we had 2. Floor under bathroom counter not swept.

Like easy check out in.. don't dislike.. one staff worker.. pool needed checked in as used towels were everywhere and no clean ones. Asked the frint desk as we checked in front r our bedding for the couch bed and was told bring them to us right away. Hour later I had the government back up and get it. Felt like the room had not been cleaned well or not used in a while.. dust was in the lamps and spots in the tables. Not sure if it had been vacuumed either.

Bathroom looked like it had not been cleaned. Soap dish and bathtub were dirty and someones hair all over. AC in part of the building did not work and impacted how cool the individual rooms got. Pool was also broken, again. When is breakfast coming back? On the other hand, the gentleman at the front desk was very polite and made efforts to make our stay as comfortable as he could, and allowed us to switch our room to one with a jacuzzi tub to make up for the missed hot tub and pool. Thank you to him for doing what he could.

Just not impressed
Found the hotel to be dated. The AC didn’t work. Luckily it wasn’t a warm summer night or else it would have been unbearable. The furniture in the room was dirty. On more than one occasion in the morning two staff members we’re taking a smoke break right in front of the entrance while the front desk was left unattended. We will not be returning.

The staff was very friendly the ac didn’t work in the room it was hot like a sauna had to open the window and it gave you somewhat of a breeze if you crack the front door to your room we stayed here two nights and I would not stay here again had to go to the front desk and ask for toilet paper room had none

Because of the corona the pool was empty . And no breakfast . I wish this they had some sort of breakfast maybe get a basket when you check in of breakfast foods individially wrapped.

Half the hotel was flooded and blocked off, they attempted to put us in a room that was damaged, but the moved us after I complained to another room that was perfectly fine in the non flooded area of the hotel

Nice hotel
In town for a conference, so only needed a place to sleep. Room was nice had a mini fridge, microwave, couch, and two beds. I am a light sleeper and nothing woke me up. Breakfast had eggs, sausage, and potatoes. Also pastries and cereal.

Staff was really nice. dirty rooms, dirty breakfast area. it's like they didn't really want to give more than 70% in cleaning anything. Garbage overflowing at breakfast, dirty tables. bathrooms were not clean.

Great large whirlpool tub for two in room
Very good large room comfortable king size bed a giant whirlpool tub for two microwave fridge. Met the new manager that taken over a couple of weeks ago and really was trying to get the place back up to speed and doing a good job.Very nice indoor hot tub and pool breakfast in the morning was your typical hotel breakfast eggs tasted like they were powdered.

The room was dark/bad lighting. Very noisy outside our window... leaf blowers etc starting early in the morning. Thin walls.. we could hear everything outside our door. Also, one of the beds was uncomfortable and every time I rolled over it made a popping noise

We did not end up staying at Comfort Suites because the pool and hot tub were closed for construction. The worker said it that the manager said that was listed on the website. It is not listed when I booked the hotel and not when we checked on Friday night. We planned to stay at the hotel because it had a pool and hot tub. We were having a weekend to relax with our college students. Yes they did have the option to go to the YMCA but that is not what we wanted to have to have lots of other people around and lots of little children. It was disappointing to have to try to find a hotel in the area that still had rooms. The worker did offer to see if they could give us a discount on the room but we decided to not stay. I hope that the information is on the website now so that more people do not have to be disappointed and have to find another place to stay.
