Love the hotel, it was neat and clean. Staff is very friendly. Great location, was able to walk to everything. Breakfast was delicious! Highly recommend!

I’ve never felt more welcome and cared for. The staff were so kind and helpful and showed a genuine interest in making sure we enjoyed our short stay not only at the hotel but in the city of Florence. This was close to the train station and all the sites. The facilities had character that felt in line with the city. Our room was clean and though slightly dated, it was comfortable and the AC worked well.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Room had everything needed, including a fridge and water kettle to make tea, coffee, or hot chocolate. Superb cleanliness. Comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast, with lots of different choices, prepared with attention to every detail, in a warm and quiet atmosphere.

The perfect location in Florence. Just a five minute walk from the train station and all the main sights and attrations are mostly within a 10-15 minute walk away. It’s conveniently located and made my stay in Florence more pleasant. My room was larger than I expected and the AC was strong, which is a plus during the hot summer days. Unfortunately, the bed is not very comfortable and the pillows were very flat. I arrived at the appropriate check-in time, but my room wasn’t ready and I was asked to delay my check-in an extra hour. It wasn’t too much of a problem as they held my luggage and I took the time to explore the city while waiting. Overall, I had a pleasant stay. Loved the location and the spacious clean room. If I could suggest an improvement, it would be for better beds and pillows.

Great little hotel! The room was excellent, it was affordable, breakfast was really great! And unlike apparently every other hotel in Italy, the wifi worked and was fast and rock solid. You should stay here!!

Clean room. Convenient location. Helpful staff. No need for 3rd bed for 2 people. Very very narrow bath. Can’t move in shower. Lousy elevator. Very pricey at 290 euro/night for such facility. No eggs in breakfast. After I put in my checkin review at Expedia, hotel manager did offer room swap after 2 nights, for room with better size bath.

We replied immediately at the check in review asking to contact us so we could offer to change the room is needed... but the guest did not contact us at reception. We managed to get in touch with the guest only 2 days after alway offering all our best solutions.

Friendly and helpful staff who speak good English and clean and comfortable rooms. A lot of steps though and a noisy street outside - but that’s inevitable I think in a city centre location. Fabulously close to a lot of places you’d want to visit.

The hotel building is 250 years old according to the hotel staff. It would not be surprised that some facilities may be out of date :such as the elevator & air circulation system. It is a good location though to the attractions in Florence .

This is a great hotel I’m a great location. We did a lot of day trips and it was only 5 minutes walking from the train station. The staff really helped us with every question that we had. Definitely would recommend staying here to a friend ☺️

Lovely clean and comfortable hotel.
Great location to explore the city. The room is freshly renovated, very comfortable mattress. My only wish would be another socket near the bed. The cleaner in this place is 12 out of 10!

Very good location and staff but outdated
The hotel location is great, very convenient and close to everything in Florence. We liked the fact that the reception was open late at night. The staff was friendly and helpful. Nevertheless the hotel is very outdated. The elevator hardly works. The cleaning was not done in our two day stay. The wifi is nonexistent.

The hotel has a traditional style also because being seven centuries old... our Family decided to keep the "poor tuscan art" which is a type of traditional style. Should you look for a modern standard hotel you have to pay more attention when choosing a hotel, there is a lot of choice around. Cleaning was limited on needing your authorization to let the cleaning lady to come and clean the room as we told you during check in. Wi-fi internet is supported by two optiic fiber systems... is quite difficult it doesn't work... At the end the more important thing is that we are at immediately disposal of our customers which it means that is sufficient you let us know when you have a problem in order to have a nice and pleasant stay. This is a great hotel for a stay in Florence! It is very close to the train station (2 blocks, about 5 minutes walking) and has some great restaurants and stores nearby. The staff is very friendly and helpful with very good English speaking abilities. The room was clean and had good AC. I wish they had a small refrigerator in the room, and a small microwave would have been nice. But those were the only things that were in any way 'lacking'. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel and will likely stay there again.

Great stay!
Lovely rustic hotel very close to the train station (Firenze SMN) and the Duomo. Very large rooms and adjoining bathroom by Italian standards. The breakfast spread was typical European (bread, pastries, meats, cheeses, cereals, coffee machine) and not overpriced for what you got. There are some steps to take to get to the lobby, if mobility is an issue. Some city noises as my room was on the corner of the main street though it didn't really disturb me. I'd definitely come back and stay here on my next visit!

Location is ideal. 5 minute walk from the train station. Service is friendly. Drinks available to purchase at the hotel for more reasonable prices than in the city centre. Good wi-fi (a real bonus for Italy) and decent breakfast. Room quite small, with a tiny shower. Building starting to show its age. Hard to find much better value for money in central Florence these days though.

Lovely hotel
We really liked this little hotel. The people running it were very friendly, probably the nicest customer service of all the places we stayed in Italy! The breakfast was delicious. The location can't be beaten. Highly recommended.

Easy access to Florence attractions!
About a ten minute walk from the train station, this hotel was perfectly located for accessing all main attractions in Florence. Reception staff person Edi was very helpful and we had our best meal at one of the small, local restaurants she recommended.
