It was close to Lake Moomaw. Parking with a boat is a little tight. But the ownwer worked with us and made it work, He is a great guy!

Spent night prior at quality inn in w va that was very nice ,so wasnt hesitant to book in Covington Va. For 120.00 it was awful. Small, very dark in room. Bathroom not clean. Grounds dirty and people hanging outside that looked like they lived there. Breakfast was pretty much nothing and what was there was not good. It was late and we were tired otherwise would have left. Go elsewhere.

The air condition unit was ripped out from the wall. The one day it got warm, it was very hot in that room. The room was very dark. We had to ask them for a bulb to replace the one that was not working. My son went ahead and replace it himself. The stairs and balcony very dirty.They were replacing the floors of the empty room below me. They were parked in the only handicap parking space they had. They worked on the room until 10 pm. When i called the office at 9:30 pm, he told me he will have them hurry it up. No respect for guesr space. I heard a noise and a man was standing in front of my door on the phone, smoking a cigarette. The manager and staff was very nice but they need to get the place in order and remember that people pay for the convenience of that space.

Mike was the man. We were down to fish moomaw lake. He made sure my boat had a spot to be charged and provided a cord. He also woke up at 4:30 am to make us breakfast for the day. Awesome trip.

Stayed there before and it was a good stay. The WiFi and cable were very good and the bed was comfortable. The price was right as I got it through a discount web site. They had eggs and other stuff for breakfast. There also coffee in the room along with a micro-fridge.

My husband and I needed a place to stop for one night on our way to a family reunion on Thanksgiving Day . We wanted something economical so we chose the quality inn. I liked our bed! and the pillows were very comfortable. We chose a room with a king bed and slept very well. I was not expecting a large fancy room! We wanted the economy of a more compact room and were not disappointed. Everything we needed was there but in a compact form. I liked the overall cleanliness we found. There was no armchair in the room but instead we had extra floor space which I personally prefer. We appreciated the courtesy of the staff. This was on Thanksgiving Day and the gentleman that served breakfast was very accommodating with keeping the eggs and sausage fresh and hot. He even fried my waffle for me as well! There were yogurt, fruit juices, and a nice selection of cold options. I am writing this several days later and cannot remember precisely what options there were besides what I ate personally. The neighborhood did not seem trashy. As we drove away in the morning, we passed smaller houses but things were well kept and peaceful looking.

Adequate accomodations & a good value.
Friendly, helpful staff - very accomodating. Other guests (construction workers ?), however, stayed up late on the balcony and were not very consciencious of us or other guests trying to sleep.

The room i had was great, beds were comfortable. I got to check in early so i didn't have to wait to check-in. Loved the shower.. the bad , no washing facilities available, the breakfast buffet could have been alot better , not much to choose from. Had only salt no pepper.. no fruits , breads or beagles.. i could go on.. too much to type.

The worst
First of all the front desk clerk has no personality. She was rude and does not even smile. I have to ask her to at least smile and say Hello ...Hi... or something. The place is a dump...smelly and my room was disgusting and smelly. The breakfast was gross....coffee was cold, and the eggs looks so dried up and no one around to ask question. The whole dining room was terrible and trash and old dishes were all over...DISGUSTING PLACE..

Don’t ever stay here.
The hotel was absolutely horrible. There was no one there. It was very sketchy . My husband and I didn’t feel safe . We checked in and then we checked right back out.

This was probably the most disgusting hotel I've ever been to. The hotel room was so dirty and gross. It smelled like puke. There were ants climbing up the walls even on the second floor. You could tell the room was not well cleaned at all. There were stains on the sheets. The common areas of the hotel had clutter and personal stuff that presumably belonged to hotel staff. There were no cups for coffee. There wasn't even anyone at the front desk when we tried to check out. Not that Quality Inn is a high end hotel, but I was surprised a Quality Inn was this bad.

Odd Experience in Covington
The place could use a severe remodeling. The air conditioner was leaking, the wall unit was falling off of the wall, the wallpaper was peeling off, and the bedding was heavily stained. When we checked in at night, the night clerk walked over from a hotel room barefoot to the front desk, didn't say a word and checked us in without paperwork. The staff appeared to be hanging out with guests in their room. It was an overall odd experience.

When we walked barefoot on the floor our feet got black so evidently the floors had not mopped. Only a partial roll of toilet paper was in the room, so we used tissues that were provided.

Quality was lacking.
TV wasn't working. We were a couple but the double bed was too small for two people to sleep in. There was only one set of towels in the bathroom. The microwave wasn't clean. There was a cockroach in the floor. And there was no breakfast because the employee in charge of it did not come to work.

Excellent location in the historic downtown. Convenient to the events we were attending. The property has not been well maintained however. It is acceptable but things like burn holes in the bed linens, non-functioning coffee maker, holes in the wall, missing art on the wall, and gaps in the bathroom tile all make for a rather run-down look. The staff was courteous and tried to be helpful, but there were some things that they could not overcome.

The man during check-in was very nice and excellent as was the lady next morning checking out. Seemed as though a lot of people staying there was living there and a lot of noise throughout the night. People coming and going.

This was by far the most disgusting hotel we have ever stayed in. From Filthy rooms, to NO breakfast and nasty, rude staff. The doors didn't close properly, the bed linens were stained. There were holes in the ceiling. This place should be closed down. The only reason we stayed was because it was non refundable.
