Great location. The room is simple but has all what is needed and in addition it was perfectly spotless clean, even in the bathroom.No black spots of fungi growth anywhere in the seems or seals. This is really extraordinary for Thailand and a great example that this can be managed despite new customers every day. You have food stand around, bicycle hire and the next important what just 50 m away. I was just on transit on my way North and I will fully recommend this place.

The staff was really kind and helpful. The room was clean. The air conditionning was working perfectly. Our room was in the third row so it was quiet and dark : perfect for a good night sleep.

Very close to a lot of the central ruins which was great. Cafe on location which is not open Mondays. Rooms are a bit dated but for the price point and a place to sleep it was more than adequate. Would stay again if in Ayutthaya.

Lovely little place
I have stayed here before and i love it. Easy walking to anything you need, night life across the street, temples just down the road, quiet, and great staff, they also do good food and ice cream.

Amazing treatment
We arrived late at night and they received us after a call to the number at their reception. They stored our luggage while we saw the city. What really made this stay more than perfect is that after our day in Ayuttaya in the very hot weather we ask if we could take a shower and we will pay for it, they kindly offer us a shower in the back storage room and for free! which allowed us to refresh before our flight. We really appreciate this detail that made the different of our stay.

the rooms and location are ok, however, if you get a first floor room then it is uncomfortable with the heat especially in the bathroom area where the ac has no effect. Overall the general condition of the place is satisfactory, the staff are very helpful and the location is really good for visiting ye sights.

Nice and cozy
Overall my stay at Grandparents Home went well. With the heat in Ayutthaya the AC didn’t seem to keep up well, but the room and facilities were clean and comfortable. The staff members were all very friendly and helpful if ever I needed anything. I would highly recommend eating at the Walk In as well.

Good value
Really clean and in a great area of Ayutthaya, near to many of the top sights. Good size room. Free drinking water and fridge and air con that worked well. Bed was comfy and sheets clean. Brilliant value for the price. There is no safe but there are lockable drawers and you can put your own padlock on the outside of the door to the room too. Only downside was that even though we were as far away for the road as possible we could still hear the music from the bar opposite so take ear plugs. Breakfast was good and reasonably priced, only negative was that they only offer instant coffee at breakfast time so you’ll have to go out to one of the many coffee shops nearby for a decent cup of coffee (oddly they do coffee throughout the rest of the day, just not breakfast when you need it!).

Good place if looking for a clean inexpensive room for the night. The water pressure in my room shower was almost non existent. The cafe is closed on Monday and the remaining week opens at 11am. They did have a small breakfast menu available before the cafe opened. Good location for exploring. The night I was there the city experienced a wide spread power outage making the trip a bit disappointing . Other, then the water pressure in the shower no complaints, but I knew ahead of time this was just a clean and inexpensive place to rest for the night.

Very close to the main sights
Hotel room is basic but clean and spacious. Air-conditioning was nice and cold, free bottled water, helpful staff, nice restaurant in front. The main selling point is their proximity to the main archaeological sights and the availability of bicycle rentals nearby.

Good hotel
Great option for your stay in the beautiful Ayutthaya. They rent bicycles which are perfect for exploring all of the ruins, you are close to the night market and plenty of good cafes/restaurants, and they have a cafe of their own too. Great staff who helped us with questions we had about the city. The room was large and comfortable, good a/c and decent hot water in the shower.

The host is a grandparent, and he is really friendly and helpful. There is an option to rent bicycle or motorcycle nearby. We do rent a motorcycle nearby with a good rate. A bus station and mini van service is just walking distance away as well. Quite convenient and located at a good place.

Happy overall.
It was perfect for our 2day trip at Ayuttaya, the location was the prime of this motel. Shower was good staff was friendly. The down side of this motel was lack of supplies, doesn't have a bedside table nor tv. Was noisy when it rained. But was happy with the stay overall.

Pleasant stay
Conveniently located to explore the archeological park and to catch the local minivans taking you directly to Bangkok for only 60 bath. I have particularly appreciated the staff politeness and professionality as well as the in-site cafè offering tasty snacks and refreshing drinks. The basic room is fine for one night. The en-suite bathroom needs perhaps some refurbishment.

Clean and great location
Travel to visit this ancient city. We moved from a river hotel that was more like a hostel than hotel. Grandparent's home was clean. Easy to get to. Hard to talk to the hotel receptionist as it has a restaurant as well. We enjoy the place it was clean and convenient location to a night open market where tried so much good food.

Great stay
We had a great time! The location is absolutely perfect, so close to the ruins! The room was spacious and clean although not super modern (which is never a problem to us), good fridge and free water bottles. People at reception did not always speak English fluently but were very eager to help. The café up front has decadent desserts!

Cheap hotel in a central location
The location was very good: close to sites and restaurants. The room had a comfortable bed. The decor was off putting: six types of tile in the bathroom. There was noise every evening from a local coffee house and the neighbour started jack hammering bright and early each morning so sleep was an issue. I understand that the hotel controls neither of these issues but it certainly impacted our stay.

Customer service can really make or break a hotel experience. The staff here could not have been more helpful. They made recommendations for activities, helped me plan my trip back to the airport, and allowed me to check in early. I had a late flight Sunday night. The hotel offered to hold my bag during the day after I had checked out. When I came to pick up my bag, the hotel allowed me to use an empty room to shower before I left for the airport. Anyone who's spent a day walking around central Thailand knows how unbelievably useful this is. The hotel itself was good for the price. Like most budget hotels in Thailand, it's a bit dated and plain. If you travel like me any only use the hotel for sleeping, this shouldn't be a problem. The room was very clean, the sheets were fresh, and the AC worked extremely well. The attached restaurant/cafe in the front is very nice (this is where your breakfast is served).

BEST location possible
I'm disappointed that I only spent 1 night here. It was very close to the night market and the ruins. Couldn't imagine a better location. They were a little confused at check-in and essentially tried to have me pay and check-in like I'd not used Expedia. They had to phone someone with some English and then they realized my name was one on a scratch pad they had with online guests.

This hostel is really great. It is located very central and though is very quiet. The shared bathroom is pretty big and extraordinarily clean. The owner of the hostel is just too kind. He has got great advices where to go, how to get around cheaply in the city and is always there. I have been here for a whole week and really recommend this place.

Cheap but clean hotel a short walk to Wats Ratchaburana and Mahathat. Rooms a bit small and could use some more furniture (nightstands by the bed) and some decorative art on the bare walls. The restaurant is not open for breakfast.

Only place to stay in ayutthaya!
Rooms are basic, but comfy bed, clean, and air con works great. The owner there is AMAZING! She gave us a tourist map and showed us everywhere we should go. The morning we had to leave she had arranged a Tuk Tuk to pick us up early. Don't bother looking at other places just stay here you won't regret it

Fantastic place to stay for 2 nights in Ayuttaya
Worthwhile to stay (2) nights in Ayutthaya... We visited most of the sites over the span of 2 days on bikes as well as spending almost 2 hours observing the elephants at the Elephantstay. The excellent night market is a 2-min bike ride away. We ate at the seafood stand both nights ordering the same things -- 1) boiled scallop clams 2) clay pot mussels with basil 3) clay pot shrimp with glass noodles.
