It was exactly as portrayed: an historic (and idiosyncratic) small inn/hotel; not fancy, very straightforward; on the water in a wonderful location; a great kitchen punching way above its weight. But the best part was its staff. Warm, genuine. I felt cared about by every staff member I interacted with. Kudos."

"We stayed in one of the chalets for 3 night and enjoyed our stay very much! It was comfortable, clean and warm with a nice view of the lake. Staff were friendly - we had a kitchen tap broken and it was checked right away and fixed the next day. We would consider staying again in the future."

"The owners and staff were absolutely amazing. They were so accommodating as we were getting married at the end of our stay with them. Our room was very clean bright and well decorated. Parking was very convenient. The location was very central to everything. If we ever end up in fort william again that’s the only place we will stay."

"I booked online for the same day. When I arrived the said there were no rooms. The owner checked my reservation and made up a room for me anyway. There was a lovely cold breakfast buffet and the hosts were friendly. "

"The property was clean check in instructions very clear. The only issue we had is a large group booked all the other rooms and gathered in the hallway outside our door and loudly talked very early. Also the walls are very thin so people leaving or checking in will almost sound like they are in your room."

"Just that there is no one at the reception in the morning like we stayed for 2 nights. After 1 night I had questions and there was no one to talk to and the next day after checkout when we wanted to exit the gate and the automatic control was not working it had to be manually controlled and there was no one for that. We had to ask someone in the cafe to help out in that."

"Nice location, quiet clean hotel. Hotel restaurant is good for dinner - and breakfast is very good, rooms are clean and comfortable. It’s an older building, but has been renovated and is well maintained. Our room had a view of the loch across the street. Plenty of parking and free Wi-fi. "

"Washer instructions were lacking as they could have been proved with a picture of the actual . machine settings.Device washes well. but does not dry clothes. A folding drying rack could have been provided. Better instructions on central heating need tweaking. Place was too hot so we just turned off the system to cool.off. "
