Great place with a small concern.
Overall was very nice. Not suitable for family with children as the inn was surrounded by bars and clubs (with ladies on the street looking for guests). The location was very close to Pattaya beach. Close proximity to food stalls, restaurants, and clubs. Before leaving the inn, they asked us to leave our room key with them and they would return the key when we come back. We found that our luggage and backpack were left open after returning to our room. We clearly remembered closing them before leaving the room. We asked the front desk and the receptionist said "I don't know". The room was cleaned and the towels were changed. We did not notice losing anything but the level of security was concerning. We do not know if a staff opened it or someone else broke in.

Great room and staff but no elevator
Everything was great. The room, the wifi, the staff. The location is ok, depending on what you want. The only problem is there is no elevator. My room was on the fifth floor. I was ok, since I had only a small bag and I am strong enough. But it could be a problem for others, and there is no warning about this that I saw.

Room was nice with plenty of space.Hot shower and also hot water in the basin. House keeping was excellent with rooms cleaned daily. Great spot to stay.. Room was also quiet which meant not getting disturbed while sleeping. A nice area to sit outside.

Ive stayed here before and have liked it but this time it was a different experience. There was one girl who checked me in and out who was rude to me my entire stay. The rest of the staff were nice, but my room had other problems. I asked to have it changed because of a roach problem. They told me they could only change it for an upgrade that would cost a fee. Instead they fumigated it which made me a bit sick. I will not be staying there again.

The only negative vessel the first night or 2 , I didn’t get the floor I requested that had been confirmed 6 months earlier. The rest of my stay was 5 star in all aspects!!

Lovely little hotel

Damp mouldy rooms with cockroaches
On check in staff was friendly. The room smelt of damp and had cockroaches. The aircon broke and they moved me to another room. Bathroom full of mould and cockroaches. The room was made up but sheets went changed for nearly a week. I was on the 4th floor wit no lift. I had s heavy case but the stairs were so steep. I cant believe the positive reviews I on this site . The road it's in is full of lady boys and prostitutes. They even charged for bottles of water everywhere else you get it free. I wouldn't stay there again

I arrived with a two week booking and I was first given a temporary room with maintenance issues. After one night I requested a change. The owner told me that it was not permissible to request different rooms with an online booking but then relented and gave me a nice room for the rest of my stay. The location is excellent and the hotel is clean. Wifi was normally good but one morning it was temporarily shut off for nonpayment of the bill. The front desk is attentive but with very limited English. It is on a non paved street with lots of potholes but that didn't bother me. It is overall a quite decent place to stay.

Dear customer, it seems that you mixed us with another hotel: 1. We did not had a guest from Expedia named "Peter" in the last 3 month. 2. According to our house rule, guests can change rooms, if available. Our target is to have satisfied customers. 3. In our hotel the Wifi bill is always paid on time! 4. The English of our receptionists is quite good to help and support our guest. Conclusion: All your points do not fit to our hotel!

I have stayed at Chaiyapoon Inn several times because it is centrally located, clean and usually quiet. The rooms are pretty big and attractively furnished. This time there was a lot of noise from a carnival and live band just to the back of Chaiyapoon for 10 straight nights. It was just a stones throw away. While the staff is attentive, communication in English is very difficult. A year ago guests hung around the front desk and talked to them, but you can't do that now.

Please remember that you requested to change the room and move to the back side! The English of the staff is sufficient for the daily life. Please do not expect high educated people in a budget guesthouse.

The hotel is centrally located and the room would have been fine except for the maintenance problems. I was there in August (the hot season) and the air conditioning did not work well and the coldest setting was 24 Celsius which is not sufficient for the hot season. The bathroom drain was plugged up and after a minute or so of showering the water was about to flood the room. And, the bathroom sink drain would fall down and get jammed up in the sink, keeping the water from draining.

I have stayed here several times and have found the property to be much above average for Thai guesthouses. It is very clean and I have never seen an insect here. Every day there is cleaning and new towels. In the two weeks I was there, there was only one short glitch in the wifi which is normally excellent. The front desk is attentive.

Close to nightlife
Very good location and reasonably priced. No problem checking in. Very clean and not noisy despite close proximity to nightlife and bars. The road, about 200 metres long, needs repairing but I believe it is not the local councils property. BTW the water in the fridge is not free. Friendly staff. I'll be back.

Where to start
Day staff girls were rude and not helpful. They gave me a room in 3r floor and when i checked in fridge wasnt working and air con was taking its time to cool down the room. When you go out the keycard cuts the power off which means the room gets hotter and by the time you walked up to the 3rd floor you're all sweaty. I had to ask for a spare key so i could leave the air con going and they didnt like it. So borrowed a fan as an alternative but then the day staff girls tried to take it back from the room. Its basically you're paying them for a rude treatment (new level customer service). Toilet and bathroom built in together. Bathroom doesn't have shower screens or walls built fully around meaning when you have a shower you get water everywhere. The only thing i preferred was the location. Its pretty close to nightlife and shopping malls. But then there are thousands of other hotels nearby too. The night staff was friendly and good. It is a cheap hotel but if they advertise the facilities included in the price they need to provide them. Just a 1 time stay for me. If youre checking in avoid room403.

An extremely nice hotel.
The Chaiyapoon Inn is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at. It is attractively furnished offering excellent daily cleaning and is extremely quiet as the rooms have double windows. The bedding is of good quality and the bed was firm offering a good nights rest. Additionally the room offered a safe and very clean refrigerator. The wifi is good and there is plenty of hotwater in the bathroom. Everything was fine.

Ok, I will try to be as fair as possible. Local area: terrible for my taste, from awfull street (holes, no street, smell), to concert behind hotel every friday. But on other hand, hotel is 150m from LK Metro, 100m from 10Bht taxi that takes you to Walking Street and on this part location is OK. Also 150m to various GREAT restaurants Staff: VERY nice and helpfull, laundry and room cleaning superb, drinks in hotel at lowest price possible except in shop. Condition: For a price of this hotel, condition was very good, seen way worse and seen better, but in hotel that are way more expencive Comfort: to me, this was 1 of 2 things that made me change hotel in last days. A/C only works when you are in the room, and room was on top floor so was extremely hot, so when you come to the room will take you about 60min to cool down room to a bit normal temperature. A/C blows right over your head no matter how you set it, so I became sick after few days. Internet became major issue in last week of my stay, from very bad signal to no signal at all, and if you work over net..thats major issue. For budget stay or short stay, hotel is good, clean and safe and with great staff.

Now to your complains: Very nearby there is a parallel street in good condition. Concert behind the hotel is not permanent, only special at months and days. Aircon usually in hotels stops running when you go out off the room! The main flow can be adjusted to right hand, straight, left hand, up, down. Maybe you did not see it. We have high speed internet, each floor his own router. But sorry, sometimes it happens that provider stops signal for working and maintenance. Nevertheless, thanks for your detailed review, always welcome.

Nice, clean, cheap hotel, in a quiet location
Nice hotel on a quieter street in Pattaya. Not too far from the beach, money exchange, shopping, restaurants, and nightlife. Nice and friendly staff who were always very kind, polite, and helpful.

Staff are very friendly and very helpful. Hotel is very clean. Soi Chaiyapoon is a rough road with many potholes and you will be hounded by the many massage girls and ladyboys when you walk by them but I felt very safe even late at night. The bed is very hard but the room was very clean and everything worked well. Short walk to Soi Buakhao, convenience stores, LK Metro and all of the nightlife.

very good, clean, friendly, cheap hotel.
i had a lovely 27 night stay at the Chaiyapoon inn. staff on reception were very friendly and helpful. there are lots of bars/restaurants in the immediate vicinity. i can recommend the witherspoons at the end of the road for food and all your favourite sports. ( they have lots of screens ). hotel was clean and had comfortable rooms, with a large fridge, and even a dvd player. the only negative for me was my room was on the top floor, which was a bit of a killer coming home each evening/night. but this did not prevent me from having a wonderful stay. A very good hotel overall for the price i paid. i would definately stay there again.

Budget hotel in the middle of all the action
I stayed in the cheapest room which was on the top floor(no lift) The aircon was realy good and the room had basic facilities, for the price i paid I can not complain about anything.... The staff were great, very friendly and theres a small bar at reception. The hotel is placed in a small road not far from LK metro area which I found to be great in the evening/night/morning for the party goer/single person looking to have a good time. I brought girls back which was welcomed. They also got me a much cheaper taxi for my return to bangkok airport. I had a great time, thanks for your hospitality :)

Brilliant hotel 5 mins from the beach or centre
Better than 2 of the top 4* hotels I have stayed in in Pattaya. Staff outstanding, absolutely spotless would stay again and again and again. 5 mins from beach. Near all the action LK Metro, and 10 mins from walking street. Ideally situated for all your needs, but still quiet at night, in fact the best nights sleep I've had in years.
