Overall, hotel amenities, service and location was good. Only one downfall, restaurant manager/supervisor who was in charge on 9Sep night (cant recall his name) passed an offensive and unacceptable remark on my way of eating thosai without realising that i’m a tamilian. I think he should just mind his own business and refrain from passing remark while customer having their meals.
Very courteous staff. Centrally located. Nice food. Comfortable beds for drivers. Restaurant staff very keen to give a good service ( especially Ms.Pushpakala
We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The reason we visited Kumbhakonam was to visit a series of temples and the driver of the car rented by us from the hotel made it real efficient. We could make it to all the temples we had planned to cover within one day, something that we had not anticipated. The hotel has a nice gym. It could do better with the breakfast offered in the only restaurant in the hotel.
Lovely hotel in the middle of the city, but not in the crowded areas. Very good rooms we stayed in -- all comforts of a luxury hotel in a small temple town. Clean & elegant. Very friendly staff - right from check-in time. A tad pricey, i might add.
Restaurant was quite crowded -- possibly due to the season time -- and hence the staff weren't quite able to manage all that well. Too many outside guests in the restaurant .If you are a strict vegetarian, you may not enjoy the non-veg flavours wafting in the Restt all the time.....
Ours was a 2:00 am to 10:30 pm stay. Staff at Front Desk checked our two family groups rapidly and quite efficiently at the odd hour; further House Keeping and other support services throughout VIHA was simply Excellent.
Toilets are so dirty that I can smell urine. Restaurants had flies and mosquitoes flying around. Restaurant glasses smells. There is nobody at the travel desk
We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff were all very friendly. The beds were comfortable which was a pleasant surprise as some beds in India are very hard. The room was cleaned very well and neatly arranged. It was a very short walk to the bus stand and we were able to visit temples and artsisan workshops in nearby towns very easily.
Thanks for a great stay. Wery nice smiling hotel staff, and that note easy to find in Indias hotels. Great food, and no problems for a gay people :-)
Michael and Heine from Denmark.
I want to suggest one important point of drinking water. A person needs 2 to 3 liters of water. We had to threaten for more. Our double room was provided one complimentary bottle!! For two??
This is a very basic requirement.
Regarding ether earlier query obliviously there is nothing of interest around your property. So it's futile question!!
Very comfortable hotel and excellent food.
Ask the chef to create his dishes for you
and you will have a Michelin Star meal.
Charming town.
Would very much recommend this to other
tourists
checkin and checkout were very efficient; management was very accommodating about parking (at least after the first night when we left the car in front -- as instructed -- and were greeted the next day by a slashed tire); we had an a la carte dinner at thanmayi (first floor) and it lived up to it's top rating on TripAdvisor; buffet breakfast was also above average; staff was exceptionally helpful (which made it relatively easy to get over the noticeable language barrier); overall, this hotel is quite a bargain
El hotel es funcional y práctico, y la relación calidad/precio, buena. Es limpio, cómodo y bien situado. Hay que destacar la amabilidad de la plantilla y su buena disposición para ayudar en cualquier requerimiento.
