I had a great experience staying here property is clean staff is great the female manager is awesome she will work with whatever problem you have and fix it to the best of her ability only thing I didn't like was the 4:00 p.m. check-in 11:00 a.m. check out other than that great hotel I rented the two bedroom Villa with private pool excellent excellent

Rent a car in advance. Reserve diving trips in advance. The hotel was excellent and will assist with everything. Wanna Dive is right on the property and will help. When they say five start Padi shop its the real deal. This is a wonderful hotel with kind and friendly staff!

Wonderful place to stay- had a 3 bedroom ocean view. Quiet, spacious, clean and great location. You will need to rent a car. Wanna dive dive shop was also amazing and located right on property. Ac was broken in one bedroom. Unfortunately it was Sunday, so the company that fixed it was closed but it was replaced first thing Monday!

This review is mainly to praise Marjorie and Roy for doing the right thing. My wife and I had booked a long stay at the Grand Windsock, but after one day I was having severe sensitivities to VOCs in our unit and became massively sick. After a lot of back and forth, Marjorie and Roy came by to investigate. At first they were both very skeptical, but after showing them my VOC meter and allowing them to do their own tests they acknowledged the situation and allowed us out of the 11 day booking. I am grateful that they were willing to investigate and work with us. They could have been greedy and refused the refund, but they showed humanity and compassion and acknowledged the situation. Kudos to the Grand Windsock for having employees such as Marjorie and Roy, and empowering them to make decisions such as these.

The property is 3 minutes from the airport. The beachside restaurant was surprisingly good. These villas are across the street from the ocean, and there is no beach, but there is a steep ladder with approx. 20 steps that gets you into the ocean. There is a local beach 1 minute down the road. I wouldn't walk that road with children, but as an adult it was easy. The grocery stores are 2 minutes away and have everything you need. Our villa had a salt water pool. The water started to turn green, so there was an imbalance in the water chemistry which needed attention but no one came to address it. The check-in process was long and painful. It is done at the main pool cabana, and takes forever. We waited for over an hour, which is unacceptable. The property isn't that big and there was only one other small group checking in at the time.

We spent 5 nights here and it was fantastic for our 1st time in Bonaire. Very convenient airport transfer to the resort a short 5 min drive and they arranged car rental in advance so it was ready to go when we arrived. Car was good for exploring the rest of the island and going to town or dinner. Pool is very nice and right across the street is a beach club with lots of loungers and water access (no actual beach and steep stair entrance into stunning water-may be a little tricky for some). You can also walk to a few beaches, another restaurant and food truck. My husband dived with Wanna dive shop onsite and had great experience. Shore diving is literally across the street or within short drive. We stayed in B16 penthouse apartment and the ocean view was awesome. Perfect for my husband and I, my mother and our daughter did spring break. Will definitely return to the Windsock!

We reserved a villa with a private pool. Upon arrival, the pool was full of algae along the sides, steps and bottom of the pool. The maintenance manager tried to address the issue and have it cleaned but there was still algae along the steps and sides of the pool. We were only staying a few days so we never got to use the pool. We tried to spend some time at the main pool but encountered people smoking, whining children, and a pile of "crap" on the side of the pool. When we took a picture of the little "present" left behind, the worker said..."looks like crap" and did not seem too phased by seeing it. The unit was average other than the pool issue, which was the main reason we booked the location. I have to commend Expedia for at least giving us credit because we did not get what we paid for when we booked this unit. I was also disappointed that the facility was not "on the beach" even though I saw a statement that it was. It is actually across the street. Bonaire was a very relaxing and beautiful destination

In our room the bathroom fan was broken. Staff agreed to have it looked at, but didn't do it. Opening the window it almost fell out because the hinge was broken. The shower had no curtain and didn't slope to the drain, so water ran out into the bathroom. The combination oven and microwave needed a 40 page manual to operate it, which was only available in dutch. The location was extremely noisy with car wash generator running nearby, mufflerless motorcycles racing on the street and jets landing. There was only one restaurant in walking distance. It was way overpriced, though the food was good. Mosquitoes were a problem from 5pm on. On the plus side the apartment rooms were large & clean and there was a large fridge, a clothes washer and large balcony with lots of outside seating. There was air-conditioning in the bedrooms. The beach was closeby with beach shoes needed on the sharp coral gravel, not all fine sand. Marine life was plentiful making snorkeling great. Entering and exiting the water to snorkel was very tricky, with pounding surf on the sharp coral beaches. The hotel had a ladder down to the water which helped getting in, but it was deceivingly slippery with algal growth. Pool towels were provided. A fee of $50 was threatened for any lost ones. We rented a pickup truck for our stay to tour the island, get to stores & restaurants. A truck was needed to go in the national park; roads-tracks there were very rough. We reserved a month ahead & almost missed out.

From the moment we arrived, the hospitality at this property was exceptional. When the check-in lady learned that my suitcase had been delayed by a day, she truly went above and beyond—offering us a drink and even helping me find some toothpaste, Her kindness set the tone for the entire stay. The property itself was spotless, kitted out with care and attention. The apartments layout and facilities were modern and tastefully decorated. The staff were consistently friendly and welcoming, from the front desk to the team at the on-site Wannadive Concern, who made our diving experience both safe and unforgettable. We felt completely relaxed throughout our stay and left with beautiful memories of an amazing holiday. This place exceeded all expectations, and we’ll definitely be returning soon. Highly recommended!
