The Chiesa del Gesù e dei Santi Ambrogio e Andrea contains a fantastic array of acclaimed paintings. Dating back to the 6th century, this is one of the oldest churches in Genoa. It was reconstructed in the late 16th century with a Baroque style, while the façade was rebuilt in 1894. Examine the iconic works by Peter Paul Rubens among the many other pieces that adorn the walls.
Snap photos of the imposing façade, with green portals and several sculptures spread across two levels. Notice the turrets and spires rising up behind the frontage.
Admire the utter opulence of the lavish interior, decorated by abundant marble, sculptures and paintings. Stroll past the arches and columns that divide the church into several parts. The church has one of the most impressive naves in Italy. Look up at the wonderful frescoes that adorn the inside of the dome.
Pick up the free leaflet or purchase a guidebook for a more comprehensive understanding of the works of art in this ecclesiastical gallery. Attend a Mass to hear the sweet sounds of the intricate organ and appreciate the excellent acoustics in the large nave.

Beautiful stairwell and perfect location. The staff were so helpful with directions, transport booking and anything else we asked. The breakfast was delicious with a huge choice.
Our only regret about this property was that we only stayed one night. Had lunch and dinner nest door and was excellent.
HNN Suites are in a brilliant lication for exploring Genoa and further afield. They are located in the university area a 2 minute walk from the main station and only 10 minutes down to the Port area or into town. We stayed in the Presedential suite which had 2 large rooms and a very comfortable sofa ...
