Great value and cool vibes
A very trendy and vibrant hotel. Clean and fresh and centrally located, so you can hit the beach or the bars and shops without it being a major walk. The spa is great, as is the bar and restaurant. We had a few issues with the bathroom, no hand soap - but every other toiletry you would want included, and the sink block on our final night, which was reported but never fixed before check out. A small detail that didn’t cause any real problems, but does stop me giving a 5/5. Would totally return and already considering checking out the other hotels in the group.

Overrated for the price
Excellent location near Seminyak beach with comfy room, good bed, hotel friendly staff. However you can find a much better price elsewhere and get more eg free breakfast, larger pool etc. Building and maintenance noise a fair bit, lack of soundproofing generally. Hotel bicycles were old and somewhat hazardous to ride but they were complimentary and handy to use to get around. Close to good bars, restaurants etc Bring an umbrella for the rainy season as the hotel has very few for guests

Awesome hotel
Grandma's was such a great place to stay. Cheap. Central spot. Comfy beds. Great staff. The massage spa on the fifth floor was incredible. Definitely will be back again!

Good base for a few days
The hotel has an amazing location and very friendly staff in the hotel and the restaurant. The spa is amazing and very professional! The only bad thing I could say is that the WiFi is so slow that you can even be on Instagram without waiting for pictures to load. The ceiling in the bathroom was leaking and the room smelled a bit mouldy. The pool is not very inviting and there are drivers in front of the hotel 24/7 who will not allow you to use any online app for transport so keep in mind you’ll end up paying triple the price. The breakfast was good and overall a good experience.

Close to everything, wont break the budget
This was our second visit to GrandMas Seminyak, the staff were once again very welcoming at the rate was excellent, the rooms, while on the small side are well serviced and the property is well maintained. We enjoyed the free art class, and the desk staff are ready to advise and assist on day trips or other activities.

Should be classed as a backpackers
The rooms are tiny. And I mean tiny. Great for one, backpackers or with minimal baggage. I think this truly isn’t emphasised enough. Plus they say they have a pool. But it is more like the size of a children’s size pool. It only fits around 3 lounge chairs. No umbrellas or shade. And very open to noise from the restaurant and road.

good location makes it worth the money
Great location close to restaurants and the beach. It has a restaurant and bar attached both serving good food and drink. Only criticisms would be the pool is quite shaded so I didn’t spend any time there, the windows in the room are very narrow so if you are planning on spending time in the room it might get a bit depressing, and finally, the drains in the bathroom smelt when I used the shower or sink but I’ve found that quite common in Bali. Overall a good value for money hotel!

Good for the price
Hotel staff were very friendly and happy to help anyway they could. When I arrived (11pm) the aircon in my room wasn't getting cold. I went to reception and someone was in my room having a look at the problem within minutes and as the problem couldn't be fixed I was given a different room straight away, no hassles. The free Wifi was good and the beds/pillows were super comfy. I will definitely stay here again when I am next in Bali. **Tip 1 - pay the small deposit for a 2nd room key so that you can keep your aircon on all the time instead of removing the room key from the power outlet each time you leave the room. **Tip 2 - Taxi drivers have trouble knowing where this hotel is - we learned to tell them the name of one of the larger hotels close by and then walk to Grandmas (literally 50 meters)

My favorite budget hotel in Seminyak!
I love staying at Grandma's! For $21 USD a night I get a clean, very comfortable room that is a block from the beach and close to restaurants and shopping! The bed, linens and pillows are so comfortable! I should add I'm well traveled and use to luxury but on a budget this is the best! I live in Ubud but always stay at Grandma's when I need some beach time! Staff is wonderful! I also love their spa and that's how I found them. I do prefer the rooms along the backside of the hotel as they have bigger windows. I can't say enough good things about my visits here!

Budget hotel, comfy room with everything I needed
The room is perfect for a few nights' stay. Everything I needed was there. TV with movies channel. Toothbrush with toothpaste, hot shower and air cond worked in tip top condition. The bed was comfortable and the wifi was strong. I was able to do my work without interuption. The hotel is close to a lot of famous restaurants like Warung Made, Grain etc. You only need to walk out to the main road then either you turn left or right and you will get to the restuarant of your choice. Walking distance is only about 10 mins. The beach is also under 5 mins walk away. To walk to Bintang Supermarket is also about 10 mins. There, you can catch a Kura Kura bus to many places, even to Ubud. Cost of a ticket on Kura Kura, a public shuttle bus that covers most of the scenic places in Bali, is only from IDR20,000. This is a good, low-priced accommodation you can get that is strategically located. I had a great stay.

Room was incredibly noisy, from the music at the bar next door, and from people walking past. Also found 2 Geckos in the room itself - harmless but not ideal! Room itself was clean, although the shower was also broken.

AMAZING Hotel!
This hotel was perfect for me. It was a smaller room but just what I needed. If you're going to Bali and only seeing the hotel you're doing it completely wrong. The hotel staff was very kind and even got me a to go bottle of their shampoo that smells amazing. The spa upstairs was greatly appreciated when I needed a massage after a loooong flight there and was top notch! The restaurant and bar next door were great as well with live music nightly (if you're going to sleep before 11 pm ask for a room that's on a quiet side of the hotel). Short walk to the beach, nice pool, close to lots of shopping, and great rates for the room. Am definitely booking there again.

Decent budget hotel.. good location but just okay.
Clean budget hotel. Hotel rooms are tiny with bare minimum amenties. Very little natural lights from the rather small warehouse style windows. That said, I will not hold all this against the hotel since the rooms are just as shown in the pictures. So just check the photos properly and expect a clean budget hotel.

The staff are friendly, but hotel let down by: * arranging airport pick-up was stupidly difficult to arrange * room didn't get cleaned on 1 day, despite me raising this TWICE * no towels when I checked in to room * rooms quite "cozy" with no desk * not much natural light in the rooms * no soap provided, so had to use shower gel * dodgy taxi cartel outside prevents you getting picked-up by Uber
