I had to unexpectedly book this hotel as I had a flight delay in San Jose Costa Rica. Several factors influenced my decision. The photos in the app appeared nice and I've typical had good results through Expedia with photos matching the property. I also chose it specifically because there was an airport shuttle included. After waiting an hour and not seeing a shuttle I called the property directly. I was told that they had a shuttle but that it must be reserved 24 hours in advance. They offered to send a taxi. When the "taxi" arrived, it was a Wyndham Shuttle bus however charged me $25. I was told I'd have to do the same upon my return to airport. After arriving at the hotel I waited 30 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me. It took an additional 40 minutes just to check in. The hotel is very run down and the pics on the app site must be from 30 years ago. There was no furniture at the pools. The pools were full of dirt. The bathroom in my room had mold everywhere. There were water stains from cups on the counters that had not even been wiped. The floor was so dirty that I didn't want to take my shoes off. The mattress was so worn you could see the springs through the comforter. The alarm clock in the room didn't work. I had an early flight and tried to ask for a wakeup call and was informed that they would only do it if I downloaded an app.My phone was damaged and I couldn't use it to do that or for an alarm. There were bugs in the bed.
