From beginning to end the stay was terrible. The general manager, Kevin was unfriendly, rude and abrasive. We booked a non smoking room, king bed. They first put us in a smoking room. When we went back to the desk, he argued, stating 'his app' showed differently, even after we showed him the booking confirmation. When we continued to request a non smoking room, he then demanded a $100 CASH deposit. Seriously, who carries $100 cash on them these days?!? When we stated we didn't have that kind of cash on us, he directed us to the gas station ATM. And then he lowered it to $50, "to help us out". The new room didn't signify it was Non Smoking, but the room and the linens smelled like smoke. We went to the desk for a 3rd time to ask about the room being non smoking and, he said to 'trust him' it is non smoking. Said it would have a faint smell due to being near smoking rooms, and had no non smoking symbol because "the company didn't send enough with it." There is no way it would smell that bad just being near a smoking room. We then realized the room with an adjoining door was a smoking room. I only got one picture that I have attached, and that was of the gross lamp shade. The floor was DISGUSTING. It smelled like urine and smoke. I was there for a half marathon and when I tried to do some stretches on the floor, I couldn't take the smell. We couldn't handle being barefoot and had to keep socks or shoes on. The smell was so strong it effected my husband's allergies terribly.
