Great hotel, food is great for an all inclusive, pool and beach very good, really fun night times near the front area - live music, drink stations some nights!
We didn’t do privilege and I’m happy- not worth it, the only things privilege get you is a robe in your room, ability to book restaurants (we were fine just waiting in line the night of), a separate area of the pool and beach (I heard it was still impossible to get a chair in the shade), and top shelf liquor (who cares, it’s all watered down anyways). Also they get room service 24 hours but without privilege you can still order from 7am-11pm.
Go to the main buffet for breakfast but always to the restaurant near the beach for lunch - it’s buffet style too but breezy and cool. Sometimes there’s a bbq around the pool for lunch which is great. Lobby bar is the best place for a pre and post dinner drink- cool and breezy, fun entertainment.
The one con I had is the tipping, it feels expected (make a harder drink at the bar, tip. Want more waters in your mini bar, tip. Want good table service for water, drinks, etc at the buffet, tip.) it’s not required but feels like you have to for good service and there’s no place to get money out on property unless you want big bills in pesos so bring $$ with you in USD dollar bills.
Lastly, it’s near impossible to get a chair in the shade at the beach or pool. We were up at 6:30 one morning and still weren’t able to get chairs in shade.
