Great stay at The Old Vicarage
The welcome we received on arrival by the hosts was lovely and served with a much needed, a cup of tea and cake. This was served in the visitor's lounge which is available to use. The bedroom was lovely with very comfy beds and soft linen, tea making facilities. The shower worked well. The view of the mountains is wonderful. I had dietary requirements which were catered for without any problems, and local produce was used. We tried the local pub The Blue Bell Inn for dinner and really enjoyed a great meal of risotto in front of a roaring fire with a glass of red each. Would definitely recommend a stay at The Old Vicarage.

Excellent B&B with superb personal service.
I stayed at The Old Vicarage in Llangurig for 6 nights while walking in the Cambrian Mountains and The Wye Valley. This B&B has only four guest rooms, so I enjoyed an excellent personal service from the owners, Mike and Diane. The superb breakfast was provided at a time of my choosing. This was most welcome as I wanted an early start on some days. Home cooked evening meals were available, and I made use of this service on two nights. My double room was large enough to contain a seating area as well as the bed. The bed was very comfortable. One very minor niggle. The en-suite had been created by taking a corner out of the room. The gap between the corner of the bed and the corner of the en-suite was a little tight. the en-suite itself was very good, with an excellent power shower. On my last night I was allowed to plug in my electric car, giving me a full charge on departure.

The hosts were very welcoming and caring and we felt safe in these strange Covid times. The room was very comfortable and breakfast was delicious with a good choice. The house was spacious with lovely views.

We would have liked to have an evening meal there, but had to eat out which wasn’t so good. Breakfast on site was excellent.

Lovely lady. Nice location. Good breakfast Room comfy but old fashioned.rather expensive for what it was. Annoyed that we couldn’t pay by credit card so had to go and find cash machine.

Welcoming and Friendly hotel
Owners friendly and welcoming. Easy to find. Comfortable room. We only booked a one-night stay, but almost wished we were staying longer.

Excellent service but amenities dated
The host was very friendly and accommodating but the rooms were small and cramped and not very comfortable. We had good food at both the Blue Bell Inn in town and the Black Lion Inn.

Great place to sleep for the evening.
Stayed for an evening while traveling through the countryside. Extremely comfortable place to rest. Owner is extremely nice and provided a fantastic breakfast to start the day.

Quiet guest house in Mid Wales
This is a guest house in Llangurig with easy access to lovely areas including Elan Valley. Owners were friendly, the room clean and comfortable. Owner made us welcome and supplied a good breakfast.

Lovely place to stay with really welcoming owners. Local area is peaceful with 2 pubs that both provide food. Good location to visit many beautiful areas of Wales - the Elan Valley is stunning.

Friendly, comfortable and relav=xed.
Very friendly welcome and throughout the stay. Ample parking, good breakfast, comfortable and clean. Especially liked the option of a 7am breakfast so I could get an early start for walking.

Great breakfast and located on quiet road! Welsh cakes on welcome tray were a lovely touch!

clean and convienient
Marilyn was great as despite her breaking her wrist, she was able to accommodate us which we know wasn't easy for her. The full English breakfast was huge and used local, high quality ingredients. Marilyn was cheerful and friendly.

Very friendly.
Great overnight stay on way to South Wales. Good walks nearby as we had our dog with us. Had meal at local pub the Black Lion.

Welcoming place to stay
Very comfy B&B, friendly welcome, really comfy beds and well furnished rooms with all those special bits that do make a difference. Excellent breakfast. Car parking on site. Would stay here again if ever in the area.

The owner was a lovely lady. The room was very clean and had all we needed. The listing said there was wifi but there wasn't. This was disappointing.

Nice one night stay, lovely owner very friendly, fantastic breakfast, filled us up for the day. Only bad point is no Wifi, a must with teenage daughter in tow !! but other than that a very nice short stay indeed.

Used as stopover on way back from uni trip.owner very welcoming,friendly and helpful. room comfortable.would have helped having plugs nearer to mirror for using hairdryer.Good breakfast in morning although breakfast area quite small so have to share table with other guests. Parking area available but only small. Would stay again. Good value

The Old Vicarage
The guest house is located close to the local pubs & convenience store (Not much more to see in this small town). The double room was spacious, clean & had a reasonably sized on-suite. The breakfast was a hot full english breakfast with toast, coffee or tea, there are also a choice of cereals & fresh orange juice on offer. My only criticism is that the advertised free wi-fi is only free if you are a BT customer (So to most, its not free at all)!

Our welsh trip
We were well looked after from start to finish, the Landlady was very helpful and looked after our every needs. Lovely setting and relaxed atmosphere throughout, situated in a lovely quiet hamlet, with a very welcoming pub just 350 mtrs away.

Excellent Hotel
I was with a friend at a local motorcycle competition and used the venue as a stop off point for a couple of days. The hotel was more than satisfactory and the owner was a very pleasant and helpful and we had an enjoyable stay.

På landet i Wales
Om du letar efter ett rum ute på landet i Wales så stämmer detta på pricken. Under promenaden till puben hörde vi fåren bräka och fåglarna kvittra. Det var fint att kunna ta en kvällspromenad och titta in i en av tre kyrkor i byn innan vi gick till puben. Tyvärr var rummet fuktigt och det var inte bra för min astma... Men frukosten var god och värdinnan var trevlig. Puben Blue Bells var också väldigt trevlig!

Frendly pub and magnificent Powis
We spent two days in a generous family room. Saw the magnificent Powis castle. We had a very nice visit and the owner is accommidating in every way. The room was neat and clean and in general we have nothing to complain about - if anything, perhaps the beds were a bit hard. It is a nice little village with a frendly pub.

certainly stay again
Ended up staying here because of university run, all Aberystwyth hotels booked. This was a little out the way. But glad we stayed. Lovely and quiet, Great breakfast, welcoming proprietor, great place for walking holidays. Local pub did a good evening meal too.

Cold room
Despite being end of August room cold. Wi fi was not free as stated on hotels.com website but did get a refund for this. Cooked breakfast standard rather dry nothing to talk about. Bed room and breakfast room no character to them. Overall not recommended to stay unless you are stuck in the area and need somewhere desperately.
