Thanks for mention good location, cleaning and the homely atmosphere. sorry, that we forgot to remind you of your moving date, which was agreed with you in advance. Concerning comfort, then we have basic budget rooms and comfort rooms with private bath TV etc. You chose the cheapest budget room available. In that room type low rate is a higher priority as comfortable interior.

Unfortunately overall bad ratings and finding errors, even invent false allegations, like the bad smell and dirty towels, has become the normal, as soon as a slight conflict occurs. Your real problem was that I was not able to change your room type to a room with private bathroom, when I immediately after your reservation made you aware of the fact that the room you booked was with shared bathroom. I explained to you several times, that only the source of reservation can change reservations and that changing reservations was a problem when booking with Expedia. Then you complained to Expedia about our check-in procedure, without specifying the problem, which I asked you to do. Claiming that this has something with commission to do is pure nonsense. Hotels pay about 15% commission to all online travel agencies, not the other way around. I do apologise for the hole in one of your towels, but that problem could easily had been solved, by asking for a new towel. That the towel was dirty is simply not true. Much better at the same price is the standard unproven ending phrase on this type of reviews, best regards from Niku Guesthouse

Dear Anonymous, Meaningless condemnations without solid content doesn't give us much opportunity to improve anything. Read and understand the description on the booking page. If you do not understand the text, then use translate. And do not expect five star facilities on cheap budget rooms in a local guesthouse. Our budget rooms use shared bathrooms, which are clearly mentioned in the description and our comfort rooms have private bathrooms. All bathrooms have white tiles, not yellow, as shown on attached manipulated image. Sincerely from Niku Guesthouse

Thank you for the nice words about our humble guesthouse and my person. However, personal unjustified accusations can’t be used for much. It may be a language problem. Apart from allegations, then your single exact complaint is about the fact that our reception with safe box is only open during our front desk open hours, which are clearly written on our Expedia web page. It is quite normal among small guesthouses, that guests have night access with their own key for the backdoor. Dear guests, please read and understand descriptions before renting a room, this will save you for a disappointing experience and us for disgruntled guests, sincerely from Niku Guesthouse
