Excellent resort hotel if you prefer not too busy area. Walkable distance from restaurants and shops. 900 meters from beach. Note there is heavy traffic going to other areas such as Patong, Kata Beach.

Great accomodation. On the fourth floor overlooking the pool. Nice room, great amenities. Nice staff. 10 min walk to beach, easy to organise transport etc. Overall great accom, highly recommend.

Blood stained sheets that you have to ask twice to be changed, shower that doesn’t regulate its temperature (so you’ll be freezing and burning within 10 seconds) and meat cooked on the same pan as vegan/vegetarian food - with no cleaning in between! Absolutely would never visit again. The only upside this hotel has is its location.

The hotel was nice and clean. The pool was nice and most importantly the staff was amazing. The front office staff to the dining staff was so nice and accommodating. Great overall service! I will definitely stay again.

Everyone was friendly, staff were very helpful and always acknowledged you, even the young man cleaning the pool in the morning had a smile on his face! The bed was a little hard, but I am one for a soft mattress.

We didn't like how to AC/Electricity could only be in use if a room key was inserted in the slot. That being said, every time we returned to our room in took a bit for it to cool down and it was always muggy upon entering.

It was in a good location. Very safe and several food options right across the street. The staff was very nice and quick to help. If you get a chance go up and check out the roof top pool. It's a cool view.

Size of the beds and cleanliness of the room was a big, big plus. Reception staff were incredibly helpful their English is very good too. Only a couple of comments which are in no way complaints. The rooftop pool needs to be renovated and is a bit dated. And the room (No. 3407), only thing was the plug in the shower must be clogged as the drainage was poor, and the generator on the balcony pumped out very hot air so it wasn’t possible to stay out there too long.

Our stay at Chanalai was great! Staff were so friendly and accommodating. Any problems were dealt with straight away. Karon Beach was only 5mins away from the hotel which was great. There is shops right outside the hotel and restaurants also if i need to do activities there is a lady with great prices with very good activities to do. They had a rooftop pool which was lovely to see the sunset. In general the hotel was very clean however they did sometimes forget to give towels etc. Overall was a good stay and would recommend others to try Chanalai Hillside.

Everything was nice, I love the pool access room, and the restaurant across from the hotel, just one thing may need improvement is that the shower faucet was sometimes out of hot water. I love staying in this hotel and would recommend others to book for vacation.

Great hotel with big rooms
This was my second stay at this hotel, and it is a great place to stay. The rooms are large, and the bathrooms are super spacious. And very clean. The pools are large and well maintained. The staff is attentive and friendly.

Arrived at hotel and had a nice warm welcome by reception. Was taken personally to room and show all amenities. Room appeared recently refurbished and was very clean. Bed was a little firm for my liking but was huge. Nice little elephant made out of towels was left on our bed. Mini bar was stocked and reasonably priced. Late night snacks isn’t going to cost you. Restaurant was again reasonably priced and clean and tidy. Buffet breakfast if not included is worth paying 200 baht although asking for bacon and it never appearing was a little annoying. Pool bar had good food and they had happy hour from 1200, two for one on beers, cocktails and soft drinks. Pool and pool area was clean. The hotel is well position with a 5 min walk into the main entertainment area. Overall I was very impressed, really good value for money.

The staff is friendly and respectful. The hotel is modern, clean and well located; no far from the beach but far enough from the traffic; so it is pretty quiet. It is a good place for relaxing.

Great hotel all around
I had a great stay. The check-in was great - the front desk staff is very friendly. Someone even walked me to my room. The room was very large, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was huge, with a tub and a separate shower, even a separate area, with a door, for the toilet! Bath robes are a nice touch for a hotel at this price. Large balcony. There are 2 pools, the one on the first floor is simply gigantic, and there is another on the roof with nice views. It's walkable to the beach, though I had a scooter. A couple of good restaurants very close. Overall, excellent value and highly recommended!

Really nice, relaxing and generally quiet hotel. There is quite a lot to do near the hotel, Karon Beach is great and the rooftop pool at the hotel is the best for catching the sun. The bed in the room was absolutely massive, which was very nice. The only thing I would say is the service was pretty slow. There was a couple times we didn't risk having lunch before trips, just in case it didn't come in time. But we found that service in Thailand was generally quite slow.

The hotel was very pretty. Super helpful service taking our luggage from the taxi to the lobby with welcome treats and cold tea upon our arrival. They helped take our things up to our hotel room and they gave us a quick tour of the room. The hotel is about a 10 min walk from Karon beach with little shops along the way. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a quiet place to relax in Phuket away from the crazy of the city.

Nice and clean big rooms. Swimming Pool is very big. 500 metres from beautiful Karon beach. Value for money. Though they can improve on the variety of food offered in the restaurant
