Worst hotel I've been to in my life (and I'm 60 years old having stayed at hotels all over the world). The room smelled mold, the entrance to the shower was so narrow I couldn't get in (and I'm a thin man), and it was outrageously expensive (about 750 dollars for 3 nights excluding breakfast) for a really tiny, filthy unfriendly hotel. The staff refused to accept any critique. It really was the worst. Keep away.

OK!! Well, Firstly, this Hotel is well situated, just a short stroll to the Arc de Triumphe and not far to the Eiffel Tower too, so can't fault it there!! The Hotel itself is in need of an up-grade, the decor is a bit tired, worn carpets etc. I have two major moans! First, The Shower!! This has to be the smallest shower in the world? They are almost impossible to get in and close the door? Now I'm not a 'Big' person, but anyone who is, Forget it!!! Dissappointing that Mercure think this is good enough. Second moan, we had been travelling all day, arrived at about 7.30pm and wanted to chill for a bit before heading out for the evening. What a good idea it would be to sit in the lovely courtyard they show off so well and have a drink? Well to discover that the Hotel only served soft drinks, didn't fill me with delight!! No extra business done by this guest that's for sure. Will be going to Paris again for sure, but won't be staying here!! P.S. Breakfast cost is also far too high, cheaper elsewhere!

Perfectly located hotel in Paris
Took my fiancé here for a surprise for her 30th birthday at the end of April. The key to me booking this hotel was the location of it, which for me couldn’t have been any better! Pretty much a minute walk away from the Arc De Triomphe, a couple of road crossings on the Arc De Triomphe itself and your on the Champs Elysees and pretty much 10-15 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. Could even see the top of the tower from our bedroom window which was an added bonus! Whilst reviews of the hotel were mixed and almost every review stated about the hotel needs a revamp (whilst very true), I still wasn’t turned off by the hotel because if your worrying more about the look of the room rather then spending time out in beautiful Paris, then something is wrong, it’s only a place to sleep! As stated I did agree with the fact the hotel does need a revamp though. Our room decor had material walls, which had a stain on there which wasn’t nice to look at, there was cracks in the paintwork from the steam from the shower, the carpet looked very old and tired and the shower leaked out of the door onto the bathroom floor. The room was very small if anyone was to worry about how big their room might be but I just put that down to staying in a very built up typical city building. We had a normal double room. The bed was very comfy and the room was very quiet. The staff were very welcoming and breakfast was lovely! It stated a deposit was needed but I didn’t know how much, it’s €30 per night.

Small room, great location.
Room was small. Bathroom was smaller. Had a rain shower head. Hate that. Wins award for smallest elevator that stops between floors. No matter what you will walk up or down some stairs. After all of that, the location was fantastic.

They upgraded our room to a duplex room which was very kind and the room was amazing. Cool parisian decor, overall a good stay, can’t comment on the breakfast as we opted to eat elsewhere.

Easy reach of most tourist sightseeing
The hotel is on a quite street. Hotel staff friendly and eager to please. Decor needs a bit of TLC but is very clean and welcoming. We had a wonderful time, walking to the eiffel tower and arc de triomph from the hotel. Plenty of cafes and restaurants around the hotel. lots of shops - some open quite late at night. Museums quite cheap, but expect to queue unless you pre-book tickets.

Quite hotel close to Champs Elysee
Had a standard room looking I to small courtyard. Nice and quiet yet hotel only 5 minutes from Étoile. But room very "tired" and in need of decorating and minor maintenance issues. Cleaning could also be a lot better but reasonably priced considering location. Friendly staff.

Breakfast shambles!!!
We're told breakfasts were 2 for 1 over weekend. Then when checking out was charged for both breakfasts. I queried this when I got the final bill and was told 'oh this didn't apply to the express breakfasts. I had clarified this at check in to make sure it applied to all breakfasts. Annoying to be misinformed. Also at breakfast had to find a waitress to get teas coffees first day and next day was told they would take our order for hot drinks and they never showed up throughout the whole breakfast. Hotel was good location and rooms were small but relatively clean but a little dated. Our shower door was old and leaked water onto the bathroom floor. Got a good deal when booking on price but not worth the standard rates. My advice would be avoid the breakfast.

Well-priced, comfortable hotel near everything
Hotel is about 5-10 minute walk from Arc de Triomphe near a major metro interchange with easy access to anywhere in the city. Staff was friendly upon checking in, and spoke English which was a relief for a non-French speaker. The foyer was updated yet unassuming. We got checked in and got onto a (very) small elevator up to our room. The hotel was clean, although the halls seemed in need of a little refurbishing. The room was small, with a queen bed, small desk and night stand pretty much filling up the room. The bed was comfortable and clean. I only had one small gripe with the room: the wallpaper and headboard were all done in cloth, and the headboards were rather dingy, presumably from people touching/leaning on it. Otherwise, the bathroom was small but adequate for my wife and I to maneuver in the mornings and there were windows that opened to the outside to let in fresh air or allow shower steam to vent. All in all, we enjoyed the trip and would stay here again.

A clean and tidy, friendly place
I chose the hotel as it was close to my office, but as an added bonus it is also close to the arc de triomphe and champs elysses and not far from the Eiffel Tower. The staff were lovely and the room clean, if slightly small. Loved the big pillows.

We enjoyed our stay. It may not be possible, but hotel parking would be great. The municipal underground parking we were directed to cost 40 euros for 18 hours parking.

Tired hotel in need of refurbishment
The hotel room was so cramped it was impossible to hang up all our clothes. The room was so small that one of the suitcases had to be left on top of the dressing table and the other case had to be on the floor but we kept tripping over it. The bathroom should have been refurbished years ago and the shower was difficult to use effectively. The carpets were faded. The fancy canopy over the bed was unnecessary and seemed to be a dust collector.

A fantastic small hotel
A great stay at a very clean and quiet hotel. A little small but didn't need anything bigger - one might stuge with a big suitcase if there are two people. A very nice area with a large amount of boulangeries and brasseries close by. Walking distance to many tourist attractions. Staff were really helpful and gave us lots of tips and ideas. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Small cozy rooms but no lift
We were put in a part of the hotel where there was no lift. I booked 5 rooms in total as 10 of us were traveling. The stairs were a bit challenging for the more senior members of my family. Luckily the hotel offered to carry and take our luggages to our rooms. The rooms were very small but it was Paris - so kind of expected. Next time I will definately request a room in the building with lift.

Good location, very small Rooms.
I was surprises when arrived at hotel, cos very small Rooms. Service staff very pleasant n kindly helpfull. So far, everything OK. Restaurants, and supermarket very close at the hotel. Easy to get metro, and just walk In 10 minutes to Arc de Triomphe, boutique store. Hotel is good for 2 peoples, not for family. Will come and stay again for business soon :)

Great location, good beds, clean and shower. Rooms small but it is Paris and unless you double the budget you have to accept this. Breakfast good with fresh orange so made €19 feel a little less expensive.

Where do we put our clothes?
The hotel was bright and clean with very helpful staff. The room was very small and the air conditioning made no difference so I suspect it is turned off at this time of year. The main problem however is the lack of any storage. There was one cupboard about 16 inches deep with coat-hangers. No drawers at all. Breakfast was OK and the location was good for our purposes. Paris is horrendously expensive but we got value for money at the Mercure.

Convenient location
The good: this hotel is conveniently located close to the Arch de Triumph and Champs Elysees. The room was clean and coffee/tea and even biscuits are provided. It is in Trocadero neighborhood in Paris and as a woman walking around alone I felt very safe. There are many restaurants and a grocery store near by. The bad: I reserved a car through the hotel to pick me up at the airport. I waited 45 minutes and no one ever arrived, so I had to go find a taxi. This waisted some time when I only had one night in Paris to begin with. Then when checking into the hotel, the gentleman manning the front desk was having a problem running a credit card for the person checking out in front of me and seemed a bit flustered and confused. So I had to wait a while to get checked in. After checking in, you take the elevator to your room. There does not appear to be any bellman, at least none was offered to me. You do have to haul your suitcases up or down a few stairs after disembarking the elevator. That may be a problem for people who don't want to lug heavy suitcases. Other than that, the hotel was great, and I would definitely stay there again.

A delightful hotel near the Arc de Triomphe
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was small but very well spec'ed. The bathroom was the best I have used in Paris and included a wonderful shower. There are renovations going on but this did not affect the quality of our stay. Very highly recommend.

Tiny tiny tiny tiny. We did not have a microwave in our room so we asked the hotel staff if we could use one of their microwaves in the kitchen and they said no. Water was not draining well in the shower and when I was done with my shower, the soapy water was up to my calves. I would never ever stay here again.

Great city hotel
the staff is very friendly and helpful, which was great. Although the room was small, it had mirrors everywhere which gives an impression of space and it had all the things I was looking for (kettle with tea and coffee, hairdryer). It is located in a very convenient location (2mins to the arc de triomphe and 2mins to the Kleber metro station), on a very quiet street. Finally, they had a very nice and comprehensive buffet breakfast. I was very pleased about that hotel, and I will go back there when I come back to Paris

My wife and I have stayed in Paris six times. This location is the best. The Eiffel Tower is a short walk and Kleber and Victor Hugo are great streets to stroll for a bite to eat or a drink. The Champs is a short walk as is the Bois de Bologne. The streets in this area are very clean and safe at all hours. There are great brasseries, patisseries, charcuteries, grocery stores, etc right there. We will stay here again. The room was about eight and a half feet by eleven and a half feet but that is to be expected in any large city. Afterall, it's Paris! Why are you in your room?

Considering the brand and the price, I would expect something better that was offered. We had to request room change, because the first one was really small and not so clean. The second was ok. From the hotel you can have access to Champps Elysee avenue and Tower Eifel just by walking 10 minutes.

Great location for the money
We went for the last day of the Tour de France and wanted to stay as close to the Champs Elysees as we could. The Mercure was a perfect fit for us. Yes the room was small, but very charming. Neat fabric wall coverings, a small coffee maker, and fridge were all nice perks. The bathroom had not been updated and was quite old but if you have done a lot of backpacking and international traveling it will be nothing for you. Really, how much time do you spend in the bathroom? Very nice center courtyard with a small table that was nice to eat at. There is a big supermarket 1/2 a block from the hotel and a nice way to save some money. The only thing that wasn't great was the air conditioner didn't work very well (maybe not at all) instead of calling someone we decided to sleep with the window open. Overall, a nice place to stay.

O hotel possuía uma estrutura excelente. Porém, pegamos um quarto com pia entupida e um chuveiro que deveríamos aguardar 10 minutos para esquentar a água. Alem do desperdício, tal fato somente nos foi comunicado após ligarmos na recepção.
