The property itself is very nice and well maintained. The rooms are a little small, but very nice and updated. The beds were very comfortable as well. Our only complaint, like others have stated, is the staff is not friendly at all. Even housekeeping was unfriendly. They do not clean rooms everyday, so I asked one of the housekeepers in the hallway for some fresh towels and she was very put out by my request. While I liked the hotel and location, I might look elsewhere next time I was in town, just based on the unfriendly staff. It's a hotel, so to me hospitality should be first and foremost.

This property needs to be upgraded. I was in two rooms, both were nasty. The 2nd room's bath tube was flaking, not just a spot but the entire tub. The Staff was great, and the bar/food was very good. I was surprised by the ratings listed; this is not a clean place.

It's always a good time when we stay. The staff is very accommodating. The only negative is that the rooms need some tlc. Is starting to look outdated.

Our stay was good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel had plenty of outdoor seating at the pool and also another are attached to hotel which was nice to have options! Clean and relaxed atmosphere. Our bathtub faucet leaked but it happens and was reported to the front desk. Will stay there again.

I was saddened to find the this property did not have any indoor pool or hot tub. Florida weather is not always pristine. It was cold and rainy during my stay. The hall carpet was not vacuumed, there was a peanut and a piece of trash directly in front of my room door. The room needed more detail cleaning/repair: there were 3 significant peeling areas of paint around the corners of the tub, desk was very wobbly, top of lamp on desk dusty, silver items inside shower/tub were not polished and had water stains covering them, toilet seat was loose and wobbly, floor in bath and entryway was sticky to walk on, the area between the bed frame and mattress was filthy/dusty. Also no restaurant food available. I left prior to the breakfast bar and was offered nothing. For the price I paid, I was disappointed. Could have paid less and had the same room at Super 8 or Motel 6. Disappointing.

Staff was amazing. Food was really good for hotel food. Had a problem with the prepay for dinner (12.00) was taken care of by giving us 2 chits.

Room toilet clogged twice while, although staff sent maintenance worker to the issue, worker came a plunger which unclogged toilet for a day and had to call again. Room felt dirty, room smell musty and rugs did did not appear to be clean.

I like that the hotel is very cozy and has everything I need for a quick trip to Orlando. I love that there's a bar on site and a terrace to hangout and relax. The hotel breakfast was also very good and convenient. This is our 2nd stay here and staff is always amazing. but this time around I noticed the guestrooms need major tlc. Our shower had a shower mat that had mold on it. This was gross! and the carpet in the room had several stains and you can just tell is time to change them. Pillows were flat and I just felt stuffy in there. Had a horrible night sleep.

Disappointing stay
I have stayed in hotels all over Europe and the US and this is by far the worst hotel ever. The room was not cleaned despite my 10 day stay. I had to request the trash be removed, coffee and coffee cups every single day. After 5 days a cleaning was supposed to take place but I had to request it first. The towels were exchanged , the bed was made and trash removed and that was all the housekeeping that was done. My coffee, coffee cups and water cups were never replenished and not once did they supply even one bottle of water which is standard in every hotel I have ever been in. The only friendly member of staff was Pedro who gave me several coffees and cups when asked. The rest of the staff could use some training in smiling and general customer service, in fact a pretty surly bunch overall. Breakfast was overpriced at $10.00 per day and the one dinner I ate in the evening was mediocre. All the other Hiltons I have ever stayed in have been wonderful experiences but I would never stay at Hilton Garden Inn, Lake Mary again and would definitely not recommend it to any of my friends or family.

Room 329 has the security light near the pool shining directly into the room. Also the tub is scarred and keep running water. The toilet kept running water. The orange chair is stained and dirty

Didn’t honor my reservation request
I reserved a room with king size bed. I was given a room with double queens. When I spoke with the hotel associate I was told none were available. What is the point in reserving a specific room AND paying that price if you’re not going to honor it. The double bed rooms are cheaper and yet I paid more money for a room I didn’t even get. Really not happy with the stay at all and no one had any interest in making it right. I was told you get what you get. So again - why is selecting a room type even an option if you’re not going to make sure that’s what is given at the time you check?? And then no refund for what I overpaid. Really unhappy.

We were surprised that this hotel was rated as high as it is. The staff was nice and the lobby was clean. All the other parts of the hotel, including rooms, need a major upgrade. The door to our room wouldn’t close well. The metal doors seemed industrial and had paint chipping off. Our shower had a constant drip. The brown carpets, furniture, and white bedspreads needed deep cleaning.

Hotel stay was great. The only thing I would have to say is that twice I had staff open the door to my room while I was in there. I had the latch on so they could not enter, but I thought that it was weird. The first time I was asleep but did not hear a knock, the second time I was in the bathroom but they did knock.

my biggest issue was the rate I booked included breakfast, however the hotel stated otherwise. Also hotel still has a $39.75 hold on my credit card that they refuse to release. My bank say hotel is showing charge as pending, even though amount was paid out already. ??? Hallways were very hot and humid. I know its Florida in summer but this was extreme.

Disappointed in airport shuttle
We expected the shuttle but it didn’t start til later. We had to pay for a cab- $40! It was a big disappointment and would not stay there again because of this

This was a nice property and staff were friendly. We stayed there twice in the same week and each time housekeeping knocked loudly on our door both mornings, waking us up. There needs to be some organization there so that occupied rooms are not disturbed.
