This property was an absolute hot mess. I arrived and entered my room, only to realize that the bed was completely destroyed- as in it was broken between the frame and the headboard and part of the mattress was resting on the floor. There were dirty linens and trash in the room. It looked like housekeeping had come in to clean, realized the bed was broken, then just stopped what they were doing and walked out.
So, since the property is not staffed, I texted the help line to explain my problem. The first customer service rep that I dealt with tried to be helpful, but after and hour of chatting with her and trying to come up with an alternative, I was told that there were no other rooms available for me at that property, that the nearest Sonder property they could move me to was miles away (I was staying in the French Quarter and moving miles away was not what I wanted), and that if I wanted anything to be changed that I would have to call Expedia personally and chat with them. She also shared with me that the room I was booked in was supposed to be unavailable and said "I do see a note from my team about the bed, I'm really not too sure why Expedia let you book here as this space was on hold". I had made my reservations 6 weeks before I checked in, so that excuse seems ridiculous to me. At no point in time did ANYONE at either Sonder or Expedia get in touch with me to tell me that the room that I had booked was no longer available. I ended up having to book another hotel.
