The staff is usually very gentle and kind. I've been in this hotel many times and did not have a problem until now. I didn't like that from April, they charge ¥1,000/per day for the parking, before was free if you stay in the hotel. That is a very sad way to get some little money from customers.
Then, we had dinner for the first time in the hotel's restaurant, and I have to say that I was really disappointed. The high price did not match at all the quality of the food. They need to have a little chat with the chef urgently! I was shocked because I've been in several Nikko hotels's restaurants around Japan and this one is definitely the worst I have to say. Also, the person in charge in the restaurant, should be more friendly and learn how to greet and smile to the customers. If I was the manager in this hotel, his days are counted...
