Un hôtel de classe mais....
En général tout était bien. Deux petits problèmes, il y avait des souris qui se promenaient dans la salle à dîner, ma copine a fait le saut plus d'une fois lors du petit déjeuner. La télévision était petite et loin du lit.

Amazing Hotel
We stayed here for a night as we travelled through Canada. This place is AMAZING!!! The staff were very courteous and friendly. Location is within walking distance to many attractions. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This property exceeded all of our expectations! The service, ambiance and staff were exceptional! It was a delight to spend eight nights in such luxury! We would highly recommend this hotel and its perfect location to anyone wishing to explore Old Montréal and the Port District!

Lovely
Iconic Old Montreal hotel in a gorgeous building (originally a bank) with great service. Some rooms are on the small side, drapes do a good job at blocking light, decor is tasteful. Mini-fridge, Nespresso coffee maker, free bottled water with turn-down service, free wi-fi, limited cable TV, luggage rack, dresser, closet w/ safe, robes/slippers, no microwave. Comfortable bed (sheets could be softer), squishy pillows. Nice bathrooms with a full complement of toileteries. Narrow entryway could really use some wall hooks. Unfortunately, the overheated rooms do not respond to lowering the thermostat; the staff will promptly unlock windows, but that doesn't always help depending on airflow/cross drafts. Daily newspaper delivery available, front desk will change currency quickly.

The property was immaculate. It's a beautiful hotel. We had some maintenance issues which the staff handled extremely well. The staff is extraordinary.

They always control the heat from the front desk, thermostat in your room means nothing. 2 cold nights, 1 normal and the last sweltering hot. Could not control lighting because of missing receiver on one light and 3 others not properly programed.

A superb memorial stay in Montreal
Le St-James offered me a highly memorable stay in Monteal. The location is excellent if you care about the quality of nearby restaurants. The Head Concierge, Yannis, does understand all your needs, and occasionally performs miracles. The XO restaurant, as well as the Bar, serves impeccable cocktails and dishes. One of the images, the French toast in the breakfast, would speak of the level of service. I have stayed at the Gritti Palace in Venice, The Golden Well in Prague, and The Fairmont Olympic in Seattle. Le St-James compares each of these top hotels in its excellence. If you are taking a taxi from the airport, be sure to ask the driver to take you to 355 rue Saint-Jacques. There is another, confusable Hotel Saint James in town.

The hotel itself and room were great. They were very opulent and the staff was amazing. Everyone was professional and helpful. Also, the location is ideal. Almost everything we wanted to do was within walking distance. I highly recommend this hotel.

Handsome property. Exquisitely decorated. First rate bed and furnishings. Cozy. Classy. But most of all welcoming. Staff is as good as it gets. Friendly, knowledgeable and anxious to please. Could not recommend this place more.

We had two rooms, one was too hot the other was too cold and the thermostats in both rooms did nothing. If I were Goldilocks maybe a third room would have been just right.
