A Nightmare Stay: Hidden Fees, Assault, and Awful Service
My recent 9-day stay at this hotel was a total nightmare. Despite prepaying through Expedia, they slapped me with a shocking $100 check-in fee upon arrival, never mentioned during booking.
I had booked a room for two, including breakfast, though I was alone. This became crucial when a medical emergency led me to call my two brothers. Shockingly, the hotel staff initially denied them entry, citing a two-person limit, despite booking their most expensive room. It took a heated argument to get them in.
During checkout, they insisted I owed an extra $50 for my "two guests." I explained I had booked for two but only I stayed, and there was a medical emergency. I asked them to provide written policies for these extra charges and they couldn’t.
When I refused to pay, Heidi, a staff member, called the manager, Juan Tores. He aggressively rushed out to my Uber, tried to force open the car doors, and even grabbed my arm, trying to pull me back in. When I recorded this on my phone for evidence, he tried to snatch it away. All this, after paying over $1,000 for my stay. Lastly, the hotel's wifi continually cuts out and a shower leak causes bathroom flooding.
I strongly advise against staying here. It's not just about hidden fees or poor service; it's about unethical practices, scams, and, in my case, physical assault when I refused to be a victim. Your safety and peace of mind are worth more than the risk of staying here.
