Ground floor room I stayed suffered badly from noise coming from room above. Lots of movement and lots of noise.

An ok place to stay
Comfortable bed, clean room though a little run down, good shower. Unfortunately the tv didn’t work in the room ( didn’t discover until late so couldn’t complain) which was disappointing.

Lovely place to stary. Staff at Reception & Casa were extremely friendly and accommodating when it came to making sure our baby had everything necessary for the stay. Venue looks beautiful with the Christmas lights. Food was great excellent. Will stay again.

The hotel was very nice although a little bit dated in the decor. They also use feathered bedding which I wasn't aware of prior to my arrival, so this triggered my asthma when I entered the room. They did however swap the bedding out once I had requested this.

Staff is friendly. The hotel is a bit worn out, smelly carpet in the rooms. Pillows aren't comfortable. Everything is clean thought. Breakfast was nice. Pitch black car park, literally had to use the tourch on our phonews to walk to the hotel reception as we arrived around 6 pm

Everything is tired
The building from the outside is great and I am sure the hotel was good 40 years ago.Everything is tired and worn the TV and internet were not working so they changed our room to another but still no TV.I would not recommend and will not be staying there again

Great historic building, quiet area with beautiful surroundings. Our room had some minor issues with heating but staff provided a mobile heater. Other minor issue was we had a slightly leaky sink, which we reported, otherwise a great room in a building with a lot of character. This place is popular for weddings, there was one going on on our 2nd day there, so it can get quite busy at times.

Chillax & enjoy great food.
Grand, period building, sitting in its own grounds, looks out over sumptuous countryside and close to tourist attractions and towns, ideal for weekend breaks. The staff are friendly, polite and very helpful. We booked a room only rate, but strongly recommend eating in the CASA Resteraunt, where the food we enjoyed was the best Italian cuisine we've ever had. The room had a big bed, was very comfortable and offered good value for money. The lift came in handy to get our suitcases up to the 2nd floor, and the large, private car park was within easy reach of the front door.

The service was terrible. The restaurant manager seen the entirety of diner flirting with a rather loud and unpleasant Mancunian woman whose laugh made the windows rattle. The off was rubbish, the steak was flavourless and overpriced. The service was nonexistent. Fabulous venue run by an idiot. Never again! The waitress who realised my experience wasn't great, very good but without a name badge, I cannot commend but well done.

The breakfast didn’t have much choice, only scrambled eggs! Served orange squash rather than juice, Was a quite location and the downstairs decor was nice, however the actual rooms were tired. No lamps either side of the bed and no biscuits provided, also they forgot to give us any spoons to make our drinks, Overall not value for money, rooms and breakfast need improvement.

Property looks great from the outside. Reception area is nice and staff are friendly. My room (48) was not great and in need of updating. The bathroom was disgusting - mouldy walls and mouldy around the bath. Food over priced in my opinion and served on a roof tile rather than a plate

not good stay there
the room was so cold and heating was turn off. Breakfast food was not good and was everyday late.

Stayed twice over the past 2 weeks. The first room was not good at all, dirty handprint on the wall, toilet seat not fixed securely, the shower base felt like I was going to go straight through it and the room was freezing. The second room was much better but the shower tray still felt like I was going to go through it at any time. A special mention for the lady at breakfast who was lovely and even offered me her de-icer to defrost my car!
