Bathroom was dirty with hair in the shower. Shower surround was old and grimy looking. Cheaper price than other hotels in area. Still charged a resort fee, and for what?

At the end of Fremont Street, great hotel w remodeled rooms and restrooms in the casino. Walking distance to all the downtown action. Great food and great staff - we lost two items during our trip and staff went above and beyond to help us. Rooms were clean and spacious. We stayed in the cabana suites and we're comfortable.

The room was more or less clean, but the hotel is old and neglected. The faucet was not draining properly, the water leaks on the bathroom floor when you take a shower, the ceiling panel above the bathroom sink was about to fall, the vent covers have never been cleaned and are covered with a thick layer of dust, the toilet seat is hanging on one screw, etc. The noise from outside is very noticeable and made it hard to sleep, also drunk casino gamblers knocking on doors at 3 am didn't contribute to a good night sleep either. Accessing rooms is extremely confusing, you have to navigate the maze of casino and bars and we got lost most of the time. The parking is in a separate building, gives a sense of security so it was a positive experience. I will not be staying here next time.

We stayed in one of the original 47 rooms. It was nice and cozy. There were no outlets and the music was loud. Other than that it was great experience.

Stayed on the 2nd floor (older renovated part of the hotel). It was extremely noisy 24/7. The base of the sound system vibrated the fixtures and hardware in the room all night. Ear plugs alone were not enough.

Great hotel to stay in when your in Las Vegas. The only issue this time we stayed on Fremont St side in the towers and will not do that again. Too noisy. Mountain side is much better!

The guestroom was nice, but the bedding and the mattress needed to be replaced, it’s very old. There are several nightclubs in the area, loud music until the early hours of the morning daily. It can be quite noisy in the room at night when you’re trying to sleep.

First let me be clear my room was in the CABANA, so my ratings are based on that and not the main hotel. The hotel room is possibly the smallest room I have ever rented in my life. Between bright green walls contrasted with black and white peel and stick accented wall, thin blankets, lumpy, old, flat pillows, air conditioning unit that hardly worked (either blasting cold or not turning on at all, no way to turn on and off or switch to heat) and was filthy, extreme humidity of the entire building, sheer grime in the bathroom (between sink and shower, even someone’s old lipstick stuck there) zero counter space in the bathroom, how absolutely DARK it was in there, and how many times I hit my foot on the black bed frame that jutted out from under the mattress in the approx 18in clearance allowed to walk around it, I am positive i will be avoiding the El Cortez at all costs in the future. I stayed in 2019 and was positively delighted by the charm and character of the estate and my room. This time i was shocked to find out my room was located across the street in a dingy building that didn’t even have someone at the front desk most of the time. Completely different experience. And it was the same price, that was the worst part by far. I would have rebooked with the queens for the same price had I known booking el Cortez’s “best available” was an off site “petite suite”. Which is an oxymoron by the way.

The El Cortez is a classic Vegas hotel with updated rooms and amenities for the modern era. It has a rich atmosphere and you might expect Frank Sinatra to walk around the corner. It’s within easy walking distance of the Freemont district and great dinning. Parking was super easy and free for guests. We’re definitely staying there for our next visit!

Parking was easy and plentiful in a garage which is nice. Security at the gate checking. Check in at 8pm on friday night was one person ahead of us took ten minutes. Room was clean, updated, smelled nice and i didnt feel like i needed to wear sandals in the shower. Only thing was that one of the two elevator weren’t working, so the wait to get to the room could he 10min. Other than that. Very pleasantly surprised.

My 1st time in Las Vegas and this was a good start. My reason for the visit was to attend a convention and the hotel was within walking distance. The ride from the airport was very cheap. I will book this place again.
