Expérience ambigüe
Une chambre trop petite. Je ne dis rien sur la salle de bain. La situation de l’hotel est idéale pour visiter Mystras mais le confort des chambres est limite. Le personnel est attentif. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la piscine et la vie de village autour de l’hôtel.

Should not have stayed at this hotel
I booked a triple room with balcony but was given a smaller room with no balcony. When I approached the reception and asked to be given the room type that I had booked for, I was told that the room had been taken by other guests and I had to make do with what was assigned. After much protest, the hotel gave me 2 small adjoining rooms without balcony. To our disappointment, the air-conditioning unit was not blowing out cool air after 30 minutes of operation. The matter was only resolved when I approached the reception again when the receptionist turned on a switch (presumably for the condensing unit). In short, the management would not give guests what they are entitled to and would only do so after you protest. Not in true hospitality spirit. Disappointing !

Hotel in zentraler Lage
Das Hotel befindet sich in zentraler Lage zu der byzantinischen Ruinenstadt Mystras im kleinen Ort. Es hat einen kleinen Pool zur Abkühlung und bietet ein recht gutes Frühstück. Das Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, die Zimmerbalkone sind zur Straße.

Leuk hotel. Aardig personeel. Lekker zwembadje met ligstoelen. Leuk dorpje met gezellige restaurantjes. Prima ontbijt. Bezienswaardigheden in de buurt. Hotel ligt aan drukke weg. Douche zonder gordijn, hele vloer werd nat. Gehorig. Aggregaat maakte veel lawaai. Goed voor 1 nacht.

Le seul atout de cet hotel est son jardin avec sa piscine. Les chambres sont très Très Simple. La literie est très dure. Le mini bar était vide. L accueil est aussi minimaliste que les chambres en tout cas pas chaleureux.

Prima hotel met zwembad in Mistras
Hotel met goede voorzieningen, aardige staf, zwembad, goede WIFI. Vlakbij bij historisch Mistras aan de voet van de bergen. Leuk dorp.Kamers wat verouderd maar ok. Prijs/ kwaliteit goed!

Hôtel bien situé au centre de Mistras
L'hôtel n'est pas neuf, mais confortable et bien situé. La piscine est un plus non négligeable en fin de journée. La chambre avec balcon est agréable

Une nuit dans cet hôtel situé au centre du village, avec les avantages mais le bruit qui en découle. Une piscine agréable, mais pas très propre. Service aimable, chambre de taille correcte.

A besoin d'un peu de rénovation
Bien mais à améliorer. Literie inconfortable, nous avions une chambre sans balcon ni frigo. La piscine est à rénover également. Margelles cassées. Petit déjeuner très bien et situation de l'hôtel parfaite pour la visite de mystra.

Hotel très vieillissant mais presque propre. Confort des chambres très limite. Matelas épouvantables, salles de bains minables, climatisation terriblement bruyante,... Piscine à la propreté douteuse. Le choix hôtelier est très limité à Mystra, cependant il doit être possible et très préférable de trouver une chambre d'hôtes pour cette étape. L'hôtel doit dater des années 60/70 et mériterait une grosse rénovation. Petit déjeuner à la qualité moyenne. Les photos du jardin comme celles de l'hôtel sont très valorisantes par rapport à la réalité. Le site de Mystra en revanche vaut vraiment la visite.

L'air climatisé ne fonctionnait pas bien et les lits n'étaient pas très confortables. Le personnel a été gentils et l'hôtel est bien localisé.

Our Greece Adventure
Great stay. Hotel was enjoyable. Not much to Sparta, but Mystras' ruins were excellent.

Great stay
We enjoyed the stay at this hotel. It was nice and in great location of you want to go to Mystras or Sparta. The staff was extremely friendly.

Nice hotel, bad wifi
As far as I can tell, the only reason to stay at the Byzantion is to visit the site at Mystra. It's well located for that -- a very short drive to the parking for the main gate. It's also right by the handful of restaurants and souvenir shops that make up the current village. The downside to the location was that my room was right across the street from a restaurant where lots of people were eating outside so it wasn't particularly quiet during the evening and early night. There's a small parking lot. Based on my stay, it's just barely adequate at night. (Much thanks to those who helped me with parking in an unfamiliar car.) The rooms are comfortable if not particularly generous in size. Oddly, the room while non-smoking had an ashtray, supposedly for use on the balcony. The breakfast seemed fairly standard. The one real problem that I had was the wifi -- I could only get it working in my room for about 10 minutes late in the evening. It did always work in the lobby. Based on my interaction with the staff, I gather that they're aware that some people have trouble with the wifi but are puzzled.

Good hotel but could improve on the little things
This is a pleasant hotel in a good location about a 1km walk to the Mystrás World Heritage Listed site. The hotel has a great pool, does a lovely breakfast and is reasonably priced. Unfortunately some of the small details were overlooked like the light in the bathroom that didn't work and no hot water one morning because someone accidentally turned it off.

Funktionales Hotel
Funktionales am zentralen, von Restaurants umgebenen Platz der kleines Stadt Mistra gelegenes Hotel. Unser Zimmer hatte eine gut funktionierende Klimaanlage und ein Bad. Hotel und Einrichtung sind sind eher einfach, sauber und in gutem Zustand. Im schönen Garten befindet sich ein Pool. Für eine Nacht ein völlig ausreichendes Hotel.

Sicuramente un ottimo luogo per poi visitare la magnifica Mystràs...l'albergo ha una graziosa piscina, molto utile nei caldi pomeriggi in attesa di partire per una bella camminata nei dintorni del paese... buona colazione, camere spaziose e quasi tutte con grazioso balconcino...

Great views, great staff, comfortable hotel
Hotel was centrally located in town of Mistras, right across the street from several excellent restaurants. We walked to the ruins; it was maybe a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Free and easy parking on the hotel grounds. Family-run hotel, and they and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. I did not have a computer with me, and needed to print an important item from an on-line site that I had forgotten to print prior to flying to Greece. They spent considerable time helping me find the initial site (it was different in Europe than in the USA) and then printed the document I needed. The hotel is ammaculate; breakfast, served on an out-door patio, was delicious; the balcony in the room provided stunning views of the ruins. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough! Not a single complaint! I have already recommended it to close friends.

Wir hatten das Hotel kurzfristig gebucht und waren angesichts einiger negativer Bewertungen neugierig .. Das Hotel erwies sich als sehr gepflegt mit einem hübschen sauberen Pool im Garten, das Zimmer sehr geräumig, sauber und mit phantastischem Blick auf Mistra, das Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit. Da Frühstück sehr reichhaltig und schmackhaft.

Old hotel totally refurbished
I've to this hotel in 2008 and it severely lacked a renovation. I even hesitated to go to Mystras in this trip due to the worsening conditions of the hotel. Now, six years later, I found a totally refurbished hotel in very good conditions. I'd recommend to anyone going there.

Great location
Smack in the center of town - great views of Mystras from private balcony. Comfortable rooms and front desk staff knowledgeable and accomodating - free wifi was great but pool needs a good cleaning!
