The location of the hotel is wonderful. You're right on Railay West, you're two minutes away from the mini walking street with awesome little shops and restaurants (Flame Tree is wonderful for breakfast, as well as cocktails, pizzas, and Thai roti pancakes!), you're also about 10 minutes walk away from East Railay. The hotel itself is a little bit dated, but overall comfortable and clean. Unfortunately, the staff seemed quite unhappy, and turned out to be quite unhelpful throughout my stay. The staff responsible both for my airport transfer, check in, and check out were unfortunately all quite quick with me, rude, and unhelpful - definitely not what I'm used to, especially having lived and travelled throughout Thailand for the last two years. The man who took me to my room practically scoffed when he brought my bag inside, didn't give me any information, and he left before I could even thank him. I didn't see him smile once during my stay. When I left I also asked repeatedly if I could book/catch their "shuttle" to the east side where I was to get on my boat, and they kept saying yes and giving me new times to check back in with them, then with 15minutes until my departure they told me that I would have to walk - which was not the most fun trek seeing as rolling luggage + sandy paths + 94* heat = a hectic way to end a relaxing long weekend. Overall, I enjoyed my time exploring Railay on my own, it's beautiful, and the amenities at the hotel make for a comfortable stay.
