Halich hotel was great, highly recommend the Halich Port hotel nearby as it is more modern and has a stunning breakfast view. I stayed in both during my trip and recommend Port.

This is a very modern clean hotel. I recommend the Port hotel over the older Halich hotel nearby. I stayed in both and recommend the port because it has nice breakfast view and is more modern.

Hotel is close to the Ferry, and Galata Tower, walkable to many attractions. Staffs are very friendly, breakfast buffet is on the rooftop restaurant with beautiful views and the food was good.

The staff members were very polite and supportive. The hotel was close to main attractions and the metro. The breakfast was lovely and served on a terrace with an amazing view. Soundproofing was a concern. We could hear doors slamming in the hallway, and some noise from the street.

Friendly with a central location.

Was greeted by a very friendly receptionist. The checkin was unusually smooth. Same with the checkout. The hotel is located with walking distance to most places a tourist want to visit. And a partially nice view. Only partially blocked by a tall narrow building across the street. I wouldn’t hesitate to return to this hotel.

The hotel is nice on the inside. The staff are excellent. Lovely dining restaurant with amazing views. Recommend half board, it is good value. Have to walk to another hotel for breakfast, but not far. The good views in rooms are from the front of the hotel, not the back.

You need 3 things for city-holiday in Istanbul. Good location for the connection to public transport, a nice room/breakfast and good service. Excellent Hotel, close to multiple transit stops and walking distance from lots of major cultural (tourist) sites and many tour boat launces. Very clean, spacious and friendly. Avoid having them book you any tours, they seem to use the worst tour operators in Turkey. Otherwise I can't say enough good things about this hotel or their staff. Lively neighbor hood next to the water in what appears to be the construction materials district. I would stay at this hotel next time we visit Istanbul.

The Halich Hotel is very clean and well kept. It is actually brand new. The hotel has its own restaurant and is very close to the waterfront, with its dining options, and just a short walk to the markets. Very nice. The real treasure about the Halich Hotel is its staff. Each member of the staff somehow exceeded the last with prompt and courteous service. I mean genuine service and attention to every detail. I have been in the hospitality business for over 20 years and I can tell you that these staff members are the real deal. Go ahead. Book this hotel and enjoy your stay. I know you will.

Staff was not at all helpful, half of the time they couldn’t understand and didn’t even try to help us even if they could. We booked two rooms but had to end up staying in one room coz the other room had broken window and was too noisy. My friend literally got the window on her still no room change or no credit provided. Went bavk agaib for one night, late check in and key didn’t work for 15 min. Room was too small for two adults.

Terrace for the breakfast buffet has amazing views, but unfortunately the food is very bland. I skipped breakfast the following day and went to a nearby bakery instead. Staff os pleasant and helpful.
