We had a wonderful stay in Chiang Mai over Xmas but the hotel was truly disappointing and nothing like the reviews and pictures would suggest. The hotel is old and very tired, the food inedible. We tried desperately on the first day there to find an alternative Hotel but with no success due to the season. Expedia should check out their offerings with more care.
Bad booking service and records. They didn't know we were arriving. Rooms weren't restocked each day with towels or toilet paper unless you chased them up. Communication with staff was challenging
