Sometimes, the star-system is hard to comprehend. This „3-star“ hotel was better than many of the 5 star places we have been to. The best thing by far are the sun lounge beds - much more comfortable than regular ones and you can choose between looking at the caldera and the pool. The pool is not heated and is very cold, but refreshing. The milkshakes ad breakfasts are excellent; the dinners are okay, but there are some fantastic dining options within walking distance. You can take a lot of great walks that give you absolutely breathtaking views of both the caldera and the Aegan sea. (But also, just staying at the hotel, you will have one of the best sunset views of the island).
The rooms are comfy, except our AC didn’t work...however, it was on us for not alerting management to it. Upon check out we were assured that they would have taken care of it. One tip: do NOT open the windows at night - the mosquitoes are terrible.
Overall, however, it was a very quiet, peaceful, relaxing holiday and we were allowed to stay by the pool all afternoon as we had an evening flight. Highly recommended.
