Everything was fine - however there is clearly a problem with either Hilton's IT systems, or Orbitz's IT systems... When I booked through Orbitz - I booked for myself, my wife and 4 kids. The kids ages are 15, 11, 9 and 5 - which you are required to input through Orbitz's site. I booked, and paid about a month in advance.
However, when I arrived, I was told that Hilton's booking system said that I had booked for 2 adults and 4 pre-school aged kids, and then they asked me for extra fees totaling more than 75,000JPY!! In the end, I didn't have to pay this - however, but it did put my stay off to a bad start. There is clearly something wrong with either Hilton's booking system, or Orbitz's booking system, or the API that connects the two or something.
Other than that, everything was fine.
