The room was not completely cleaned from the person staying at the hotel. There was food left in the refrigerator.

The guy at the desk when we arrived seemed to have a problem with us. I guess after driving 5 hours in a rainstorm, we must have looked grumpy and gross and NOTD. He gave us a bad room on the 2nd floor with half of the window cut off by the roofline of the common area, with a view of a rusty air conditioner, right above the laundry area. He didn't even bother offering us a better room. When my husband complained, he gave him a line about room value and said we reserved the least expensive room. Uh, thanks, we understand room value, but we reserved a bedroom with a balcony view and a king-sized bed. It didn't specify what floor it would be on, or that the view would be cut off, nothing like that. How about at least OFFERING us a better room? We are happy to pay more to not be in a crappy room. He seemed to have a problem with us because we reserved a room on Expedia almost a year ago. He did change our room to the 5th floor, which was much better. We didn't know that there was an FBLA convention that week, so a lot of teenagers showed up the next day. I would tell people to expect convention goers at this hotel since it's walking distance to the convention center. The rest of the staff was great, btw, but the first person we encountered really put a bad taste in our mouths. The hotel is showing its age, but it was fine. We really enjoyed the balcony and spent a lot of time watching the beach, the Gulf, the traffic, etc.

UNLESS you want your belongs stolen by housekeeping, I’d book elsewhere. Housekeeping stole my daughters items. Keep valuables locked up because they take what they want and then lie about it. Spent $700 for 2 nights , I should have stayed at the San Luis resort next door. Don’t waste your hard earned money because house keeping will just come in and take what they see. Management is poor they never returned phone calls to get this resolved. The hotel is outdated , definitely not what I was expecting. The whole experience was horrible. You are better off staying elsewhere. Never again!! The general manager Mr. Quinn never returned my calls. Definitely not a “resort”

Do not stay in rooms 121 to 125. These rooms do not have a balcony or any oitside seating like every other room. The rooms look out directly onto the parking lot and often had people standing right outside shouting at night. There is no privacy in these rooms and we had to keep the curtains closed the entire time to prevent people looking into our room. It was like living in a cave. My 2 small children felt un safe. We did eventually get a new room on the 3rd floor which was much better. Rooms 121 to 125 should be charged at a much reduced rate.

The property and the room were great as always. Some of the male staff at the front desk were rude and condescending. Other than that I enjoyed my stay.

Overall we had a nice stay. However, the property is very outdated and the rooms could use an update. Lots of dust, hair in our tub, peeling paint, and old chipped furniture. We paid high prices due to it being Spring Break. The amenities were great, lots of activities for the kids. The pool got over crowded so we didn't use it long and the hot tub jets went out. We did get notice it was fixed the last few hours it was open. We unfortunately got a room on the second floor and our view was the old ugly roof top of the restaurant compared to everyone else's being the pool/seawall/beach. The staff was friendly and helpful so I'd book here again but make sure to get a room with a better view!

The only thing good about this property is location , other than that everything is downhill. Can’t get a hold of desk, room service anything no one is there They gave us first floor saying unfortunately all above are gone while after 10 minutes they magically found one for another family. First floor doesn’t feel safe on any level you are literally by parking like someone pushes gas and in your room . All night we saw headlights coming in and out. Not to mention by balcony there’s another parking spot and only sheer curtains , you cannot move the dark ones so open show for anyone who decides to peek. Our family has travelled a bit and this hotel felt unsafe by far. Never recommending this one to anyone. Once you’re in room nobody is there to answer, front girl just told us here’s your keys and go right made sure we know how much inconvenience we’re causing her.

This hotel had a great view of the gulf from our room, very nice heated pool, great band in the Jigger bar on Saturday night and the food was very good at the restaurant. We will definitely be back.

Friendly staff and overall quite clean in unit. However it’s way way way overrated and overpriced given the terrifyingly outdated facility and decorations. The corridor is open to outdoor space without windows and definitely quite cold in the evenings in winter. I think it’s an ok site, but don’t understand how the hell the ratings are so high

If you're not looking for peace and quiet, this is your place. The location is great. Some of the people that work at the hotel were nice. Others were completely oblivious to what the customer wants from a hotel. Most people on vacation don't want a cart and a conversation right outside their door at 8am. Also they don't want a call at 730 asking whether they want housekeeping. That's psycho. Go stock shelves if you are not into customer service.

We enjoyed our entire stay. We loved having everything together, restaurant, bar outdoor sitting area. The staff was so helpful especially Larry Ivy I think was his name. He went above and beyond to make our stay perfect.

It was easy check in process but some information was no longer valid, like the shuttle which was why we chose to stay there. It cost 50.00 to shuttle to the port, which was originally stated as free as part of the stay there.

This is an older hotel and its age shows. It does have a nice view of the ocean and is in a GREAT location! Overall it was nice. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms could use some updating.

I made multiple requests to have Wifi turned on but it would only work for up to 30 minutes after my request--as a result, I was unable to work while my child slept. TV sometimes worked sometimes did not. Fixtures are rusty, the place needed a little TLC (very clean) just not what I expected for $200/night. And yes, it was noisy.
