Stayed in a suite and was very impressive room, especially, the double shower and roll-top bath. Had a wee bit of a shock at checkout at bar prices tab, ouch..

Staff need more training concerning their general information on restaurants, sites, go to places... Afterall, it's an hotel so customers might ask them such questions.

Convenient location allowed us to walk to all the attractions, shops, and endless dining options. The staff was friendly, the bartender was a super hard worker and great at his job, and the rooms were clean. The hotel locks the gate at night so you have to use your key to get in, which is a nice feature for safety. If you are a light sleeper, it might be too noisy for you. Not from inside, but the people outside late at night (our room was facing the street). I found it entertaining and added to the experience, but not the best location for a good night’s sleep. No complaints about the hotel itself though!

The staff were excellent, helpful and very friendly; however unfortunately there were renovation works going on above our room which were started, at times before 8am, until late in the day, which we had not been advised of. We did highlight this to the duty manager but seemingly no action was taken to address the start time of the work.

We highly recommend this hotel, fantastic location, accommodation and facilities were perfect, a very relaxing peaceful setting, breakfast was delicious with plenty to choose from and staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Willys in heaven
What a wonderful hotel and restaurant, we’re always gazing from sandy bells over the road. The best onion soup, and the suite was fabulous, we loved the speakers.

Great location and a great breakfast, but the warm reception and friendly staff were particular highlights, especially the Spanish waitress on duty in the mornings.

Excellent location for visiting the sights. Very nice rooms - even standard ones and lovely very hot water. Nice breakfasts and pleasant bar area. Only slight negative is that the lighting was a little dim in the bedrooms but adequate nonetheless. A very enjoyable stay.

Great location for your city trip within walking distance of Edinburgh Castle and most attraction. Friendly staff, cosy room and very spacious bath room. Delicious dishes for breakfast and dinner. We would definitely recommend staying at Hotel du Vin.

Staff were welcoming and helpful. Great position for all Edinburgh attractions. The hotel is very well presented and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Room was a little dark facing inwards to the courtyard but was quiet and we slept really well

Beautiful hotel and staff were very helpful. We were shown to our room and given a mini walking intro to the hotel. Our room was immaculately clean. Highly recommended this hotel in Edinburgh.

Edinburgh hotel excellence
Excellent place to stay. Super clean, quiet and a larger room than I expected. Very good location for walking and exploring Edinburgh. The French restaurant which is part of the hotel serves excellent food. Staff friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
