Last minute canceled from the hotel
I was looking forward to stay at the hotel since I read all of the positive feedback in many website. However, when I arrived to Chiangmai Airport and grab a cab to the hotel. I hadn’t noticed any messsage on my phone due to I set sound off.
Both of hotel staff and expidia staff tried to reach me on as they canceled my booking on the same day of my arrival. I was informed about the situation once I arrived to the hotel. Hotel staff informed me that the hotel was overbooked and had to relocate me to another hotel nearby. FYI, I booked the hotel more than 3 months in advance but they still decided to cancel my booking with them. And what worst is that, it was so urgent which caught me off guard that I had to go along since I didn’t have much choice. The hotel they moved me to was nice but they room that I assigned to had no in-room shower and toilet facility. I was super disapointed by their decision.
I trusted their reputation that I also do have more booking with them in the future. But now I’m thinking of cancel the booking because i am afriad that they will do the same to me. Please be careful when you book for this hotel, especially during high season. You may experience the same thing as me.
Also, Expedia need to revise regulation for last minute cancel with partners. Since Expedia has strict regulations with customer in the same aspect but not with your partners. It really reflects how much you care about your customer.
