Property is in a great location. Room and amenities were definitely subpar for the price paid. Staff tried to be accommodating but even after moving rooms the same issues arose. Non-working TV. AC that didn’t work properly. Not what I would have expected after paying 200.00 USD per night. I’ve had better rooms in Austin paying half as much.

We have stayed at this hotel many times in the past 8 years. We were always pleased. However this time , there was an unpleasant odor upon entering the front door. The carpets were worn and stained in the hallways. Renovations of rooms on our floor caused noise and hallway clutter. We did not have but two towels in the room upon arrival. We went to front desk to ask for hand towels. The coffee was out of cream and no sugar available. The desk employees were pleasant. We have season football tickets and have enjoyed the stay in the past but Not sure if we will book our upcoming stays at this location.

The room was perfect for the price. I wish I had a longer stay to enjoy the kitchenette. There is a microwave and 2 burner elec stove. Also a large fridge. Plenty of room for 2 people.

Property needs some attention. Hallway & room carpet is in worst shape, stains everywhere. Bathrooms needs improvement, no hot water (just warm water). Not at IHG standards.

The price was okay but if we knew the elevator was broken before we got there we would have changed hotels. It was just too late. At our age walking up 4 flights was no picnic.

Room nice however no blow dryer in room. Receptionist behind a wall and you had to call Out to get attention for help.

I called 0ct 11 to confirm my reservation. They confirmed. I called Friday Oct 13th in the afternoon to tell them we were going to arrive about 11pm. They said that was fine. We called about 9:00pm to tell them we were going to be even later. They said that was fine. Arrived at 3am and they said the reservation had been canceled 3 days prior. Huh? I was super annoyed.

There was no one available to check us in when we arrived, carpets everywhere were moist/damp, our room has no shower curtain and tub wouldn’t drain. We aren’t fancy, but basic things should Function when you pay for Lodging- we had two rooms also. The area wasn’t great.

The room was dirty and outdated. The tv was so little. Bathroom tubs have mold around them. Dirty floors. Coffee pots in rooom, 1 pack of coffee for 2 people and no water to make the coffee. They offer free coffee in the area up-front, but I may not be able to go get it. The food for purchsse is so expensive. So you have to go out of the building to get something. Too expensive hotel for what they offer. The outside of the building looks horrible.

Paid for 2 beds, got there and only had one queen for 3 people. Called the front desk, staff was rude and told me hotel was overbooked and couldn’t give me what I paid for. Was told I would just have to use the room that was given to me. Found hairs all in the bed so we all had to pile in the bed and sleep on top of everything due to all the hairs . Will never stay there again!!

Our stay at Candlewood was booked almost a month ago. On the morning of our arrival I received a call stating the property was overbooked and we were going to be transferred to their “sister” hotel. No big deal, we just needed somewhere to stay after “move in” day for oldest heading off to college. We ended up staying at Candlewood, our original reservation and it was terrible. The room was dirty; hair on the pillows/ bed, floor in bathroom, and in the tub. We were exhausted so we kept the room but won’t be returning.

OK at regular rates
I liked reception, nice, friendly and informative. Hotel is somewhat rundown, bath tub drain got stuck for example and the parking lot badly needs new paint lines. Having a kitchen for meals was nice, though some of the surfaces and utensils were sticky. Cream would have been nice for the provided coffee. I would have rated higher but they were charging over double of their normal rates due to a convention and definitely over priced.

The hotel was a quiet place to rest and relax. Good location to go different popular locations.The entrance to the hotel was a little difficult to get out into traffic during rush hour.

Opened curtain to find a huge bloody booger with a huge dirt spot on it. Room could of been cleaner. Maid didn’t even come in 2nd day and we did not have the do not disturb sign out. Hotel was very nosey all night. Slamming doors, walking up and down hallways talking loudly & screaming. Just over all not impressed and would not stay here again.
