Staff questioning me peculiarly as if they were suspicious of my patronage, calling after me and following me to the elevator asking if I need assistance. $10 room service delivery fee plus $1 service fee on top of regularly overpriced average food. Single beds that you zip together do not equate to a king size bed.

This is an amazing hotel with fantastic facilities for the whole family. I especially enjoyed the 24 hour gym which really helped with my jet lag. My daughters loved the swimming pool and my husband the hot tub. The steam room and sauna was an excellent way to relax after my gym sessions. The staff were so brilliant though out our stay here, so helpful and nothing was to much trouble. You truly have an excellent team here.

Return guest, having stayed in this hotel last month. In my previous visit of 5 days, on 2 occasions my room was not serviced. During this stay, despite calling service twice, they forgot service my room also. When they finally did, it was sloppy with rubbish not removed. To their credit, we were given a bottle of wine by way of apology following an escalation complaint. We also pointed out that the carpet by the lifts on our floor had significant dirty areas which clearly had not been vacuumed for over 4 days. Not a massive issue, but not what you would expect from a 5 star hotel either. Likewise a red wine glass was left beside a lift overnight and all day. The hotel is not cheap and on the whole delivers a great experience but these little ‘issues’ detracted from what should have been a truly 5 star experience. Very disappointing.

Staff are all caring and welcoming, including Samana in the breakfast restaurant.😊 We have stayed a few times over the last four years, and it never disappoints. Any issues are sorted out immediately, our room was quiet, good to be able to open the window plus bed was really comfortable.

Staff are very nice, from the reception up to the Eight restaurant staff, they are all friendly and welcoming. Room is average, was expecting a more flash one considering the facade and the hallway and lounge furnitures are all modern and sophisticated. I find the lighting too dark too in the hallway, maybe they are trying to get that elegant look but no, it rather looks scary even in the Chandelier Lounge, it's too dark you hardly see that food you're eating. Maybe it's about time to change those chandelier bulbs lol. Eight Restaurant never fails though! We have tried the dinner and lunch before but never the breakfast.. and I can say, food's quality is top-notch! Best breakfast buffet I have ever had in NZ! :) Swimming pool is nice too.. just a bit smaller than expected and 3-4 staff watching you swim seems kinda awkward. As if you are on a public pool plus they aren't lifeguards anyway.

The surrounding area itself has very little going on, it's noisy being next to the main road during the night and affected our sleeping. The hotel building itself is beautiful but just a little outdated, mostly the bathroom facilities. Valet parking was on point and reception staff were helpful, however room cleaning services were disappointing and restaurant breakfast wait staff were quite distant and at times unpleasant to deal with. Food was tasty and always lots of options which made breakfast experience better.

Our room was ready when we arrived early, and we also received an upgrade without asking. The room was spectacular. The front desk staff was outstanding with everything that we asked. The shuttle service was wonderful. We would definitely stay at Cordis again if we were in New Zealand.

Great property with friendly staff. Our room was very well appointed and spacious. They no longer have any parking except valet which is a bit unfortunate. Location is great for those in the medical area or going into CBD.

I did not like that the person at the front desk who checked us in, did not explain to us about the facilities etc. I overheard the person next to him, asking the guest who was checking in, if it's his first time at their hotel, and he showed him a piece of paper explained about the facilities, restaurants etc. My family and I had to find out ourselves if regular food was being served at the lobby restaurant, it looked more like a high tea place. We didnt' know that there was a free shuttle to downtown, thank you for the poster that we saw. The rooms were clean, hotel is quiet even though it's next to the a busy street, an easy walk to some restaurants. They give us unlimited bottled water. The water in the shower would suddenly get too hot, so better to turn in low.

The property itself was amazing good food really friendly staff and they made my six year old daughter feel special with a welcome gift and anything she might need. The area around the hotel was not as nice and I wouldn’t walk around after dark.

Rooms were very nice clean comfortable bedding really enjoyed them. Dining options were very scarce and eight restaurant buffet is way overpriced for the quality of food that you get.

The valet parking attendant yelled at me as I got out of my car to tend to my screaming baby, to the point where he apologised for speaking to me out of hand. The bath plug didn’t work so we couldn’t bath our baby and the phone also did not work in the room. Upon picking up our vehicle after paying $55 for valet parking we noted a large dent and scratch along the drivers door and after communicating it to them have still not heard back. Poor for a hotel that has such a good name.

OMG we loved our stay at cordis! Srsly worth every penny. The staff is just wonderful - from arriving till check-out throughout excellent service. We loved our room - great furniture, nice bathroom, etc. Spa and pool area were great, as well. Would love to be back someday!

We had booked for four but the room was only serviced andvprepared for two adults. They did not count our kids in their breakfast ,norcthey had anybtowels, cups and glasses , toothbrushes and stuff like that for them. Disappointed

Cordis hotel is a great place to stay with the family. We had breakfast option included which was great as they have a buffet breakfast with lots of options and stations (they make fresh omelettes). They have an hourly shuttle to downtown core (small 10 seater van). There isn’t parking available but they have valet service. There is a pool and spa but unfortunately we did not get to try it as the 3 nights we stayed it was closed for maintenance which was the only reason I gave it 4 stars for amenities as my kids were disappointed. The Chandelier lounge provides a-la-carts menu option for dinner and the food was excellent. Staff was also friendly and nice. Definitely will stay here next time in Auckland.
